Some comments I didn't want to post while the contest was ongoing:

It's like Gemini's reaching out to the uninitiated and saying "Gaffers, give Sakura Wars a chance won't ya'll? Everythin'll be alright!"

Durante Gets my vote as well, I think it's the sakuras. They are a nice touch.

The whole idea with the multiple layers of blossoms and having the hand "reach out" of them to the viewer is something I only got at the very end, and I think it greatly improved the final result. The blossoms were made using a really complex brush (probably the most complicated one I ever used) with lots of shape/color/opacity/scatter dynamics -- it required a lot of preparation, but in the end I was able to draw a whole stream of blossoms with one careful pen stroke

and boy the game is amazing

some of the best story telling right there..

i like the episodic structure and the dating sim element. of course the SRPG element isnt half bad either unfortunately its on the easier side though
