well, i was going to check this out today, but the xScope browser isn't free. i haven't had any problems yet with using Firefox, the Samsung Internet app or Chrome

Well I think it would be useful when driving. On one side you can have navigation and on the other a media program. Like for me, that would usually be pandora. So while we are driving to a location I can see the naviation just fine and my passenger can vote on pandora or change stations without having to switch back and forth. That's primarily what I'm looking forward to when the update arrives. On long trips it would probably be a movie or some show.

hmm I wonder.... check if those HD sites work smoothly in FF

FF is weird with Flash for some reason
some vids refuse to load

your unlocked right ? was it hard ?

do you plan on installing any custom roms or the like ?

deodexed, rooted, multiwindow mod. i don't plan to use any custom roms until there's a good reason to.

I'm questioning wether to to the unlock hack now or just wait until there is a decent Automated Note II vrw Toolkit that does everything for me....

all the custom roms are Alpha stage anyways

I have the jellybeans rom 1 installed though TW custom rom.

I hope to have Paranoid android with most of the TW features shoe horned in one day though....

I don't plan to use custom ROMs ever. There's just no good reason for them on this device. It's a big change from how Android was even a year ago. I have the no WiFi notification mod, the allow all APNs mod for global support, the black status bar, the eGPS icon removed, the S-Planner widget, the Mobile Hotspot enabled without the stupid entitlement check, and the non-Verizon SIM message removed. I've pretty much de-Verizon'd my device. Feels good man.

Does anyone know how to access the scard using samba? I've done it on other devices, and but the way the sd card is handled on the note doesn't let me access it, but which is a bummer as samba was my main reason for rooting. I can't get Kies to work and airdroid seems slow.

tested out some more HD sites

pornhub HD works flawlessly for some reason...

and even 60 fps MP4s 1080p
this is with TW jelly beans Rom Build 1 and the latest flash apk

You could. Your phone would also be the size of Texas. I don't mind plugging my phone in at the end of my day and it charges while I sleep. What annoys me is having to charge during my waking hours.

So I installed something called sgs3 easy ums (which also installed busybox) yesterday in the hopes of making my transfer of >50gb of music to my external microsd easier. It didn't work but I managed to find a program that made it easy.

Anyway today I went to connect my phone via USB to my computer and I think I was using sgs3 easy ums for some reason and pressed something and now my PHONE AND computer won't recognise the existence of my microsd :(
How do I fix it?

can you unmount/remount from the storage settings?

i used the microsd-sd adapter when i was transferring the bulk of stuff to my 64GB card. no phone involved!

i actually *was* gonna try SGS3 Easy UMS out, but then i saw that UPnP was built in and decided on using that to copy images from my phone to my PS3.

I forgot in which thread it was but someone recommended the mountek cd mount and it is awesome.

Makes it really easy to check things quickly or ask the passenger to change something. The only thing that I miss from my old evo is the option to have the display on permanently. In the car I like having the display always on. On the Note 2 the max it can stay on is 15 minutes (while not looking at your face). Is there any way to make the display stay on longer?

you can set it to never turn the screen off while charging.

Hey guys my mom is giving me her note 2 since she doesn't use it anymore, and it is unlocked. I'm currently under contract with AT & T for 2 years with the iphone 5, could i just swap the sim card with the note 2 for it to work?

nano sim vs micro sim, don't know if there are any adapters

I'm getting tired of "Grey" phones my last phone a Gnex was also "GREY"

just give me a solid Jet Black color for all my future phones please...

unfortunately this was only only available in two colors atm

On my back cover, the line between the two slit openings for the speaker is bent outward.
I can't imagine how it got bent out, and I've tried bending it back so it's flat but it's not malleable at all. Anyone else have this?

When my phone is on my desk, it tilts slightly to the left because of it.
I'm considering just cutting the little line of plastic between the two slits.

That's normal. They're all like that. I got the Samsung bumper and it's no longer a problem. Weird design choice...

that bump is by design. it's so the speaker doesn't get blocked.
