not US but UK. White units have been available for a week I think.
I've read in forums that asia is seeing blue units and according to various UK online shops, the blue s3 will start trickling in starting next week.... fingers crossed.

I think that's an "officially supported" thing like most phones, but if you put in a 64GB card it'll likely work fine.

S3 supports exFAT, and yes, it supports 64GB SDXC cards right out of the box. even older phones support 64GB cards, the cards just have to be reformatted to FAT32.

If this runs on a Samsung LTE radio, then it takes extended test before it gets approved by Verizon and ATT. Nvidia also has its own version of LTE radio coming out soon. But I expect Qualcomm will dominant the whole year of 2012.
What's the deal? Is the quad core much better than the US dual we are getting?
It goes up to 4. It's 2 faster.

Just got mine in. I didn't realise quite how thin it would be (or how large the screen is) compared to my sadly defunct iPhone 3GS.

Actual real world use, the Dual Core Snapdragon chip performs just as well as the quad core in the international version.
In fact in some ways the Dual core snapdragon is a better chip, and you'd probably get longer battery life with it. At least for LTE versions, since the Quad core version to have LTE needs to have another chip added to it to support LTE. The Qualcomm Snapdragon chip has it built in.
