i'm pretty sure that the metroid games, like most nintendo games, are still fundamentally designed for 'children of all ages'. meaning, not adults with adult expectations...

The music unlocks when you finish the game. The amiibo unlocks it earlier. That's it. You wanna be a sperg and need desert music that first run? Have fun spending $30. It's Nintendo playing its dumb suckers like a fucking fiddle.
