Odd that most sects of Satanism expressly require atheism/complete dismissal of the supernatural, yet number 7 seems like the copout "well just in case supernatural entities/powers DO exist, go ahead and have fun with that anyway."

If Satan is the opposite of God and Heaven the opposite of Hell, shouldn't these rules be the opposite of the 10 Commandments? And number 11 being something dickish like, start back at 1?

Atheist Satanists? Isn't that a contradiction in terms? To be a Satanist is to be part of a religion.

Atheism is a rejection of the idea that there is a god or gods. Nothing else. You can technically be an atheist and still believe in other supernatural phenomena.

The devil exists in all abrahmic religions. Without them the devil does not exist and to believe in the devil is to believe in God, their stories are intertwined not seperate.

Atheism is no rejection of anything, is simply not believing in any god and being certain about it.

Modern satanists after LaVey are indeed more about rejection and other nonsense though.

I think you misunderstand what I meant by "reject". Not believing in a god is the same thing as rejecting the claim "god certainly exists."

"Certainty" doesn't even have to really enter into it either. Rejecting a claim doesn't necessarily mean you accept the opposite claim.

In order to be certain about something you have to reject opposing theories. Here's where you messed up:

Gnostic athiesm is believing that there is no god with certainty.

Agnostic athiesm is simply the absense of belief in a god. No certainty.

...this basically amounts to "don't be a jerk". I mean, that's nice and all, but I'm not really seeing what necessitates most of these being "rules"

Well it's their version of the ten commandments isn't it? Which is pretty much also "don't be a jerk " but with an added : "also I am the only God and stop thinking about other Gods pls".

Personally I am just happy we got Satanism and Christianity to tell us how not to be jerks, otherwise I would probably be around stabbing whoever I felt like.

I don't reject any of the thousands of gods that man has made up. How do you "reject" something that isn't real? It's the religious people that reject reality. Atheists are non-believers, free thinkers - not chained, scared sheep.
