CNN Sunday News Live just had a small blurb that they will have a report on the incident coming up.. not sure how long the show is on for, but I'd assume it'd be towards the end of the show. If CNN is reporting it still, I'd assume this might be worse than I'd first though..


Still funny as all hell though.

The thing is...this is all going to get pinned on her, when it was likely her father who made her lip synch, all sorts of people lip synch on SNL (Janet, Britney) and the mistake was the fault of sound guys.

The problem is that she blamed it on the band, pretended like she wasn't lip synching, and had actually spoken out against lip synching in an earlier interview.

Jeesh...can't wait to see all of SNL to see it all as one.

I'm pretty certain alot of the older pop stars did stuff live. Not sure about Madonna, but I know Bette Midler sings live and she does just as much dancing in her shows as Britney or anyone else (relative to her more advanced age), you can hear her getting out of breathe and she even acknowledges the singer she has doing backup vocals to help in the high notes she can't belt out near the end of the concerts between her voice going and her being exhausted from all the dancing.

Britney actually sang live on SNL once. She sang some ballad while sitting on a barstool. Her voice was cracking at times but she got through it without having to worry about her career ending.

this won't do anything to her career. HEr fanbase is little 11 year old girls who think she's cool cause of how she dresses or some shit. Its all image, they don't care about musical credibility. Same goes for Lohan and Britney and all the other pop skanks.

no, if you see the first performance, her "vocals" are EXACTLY the same as her studio/album vocals (some singers will actually sing live and then play it back during their performance). Even before the screwup, Stevie Wonder could see that this bitch was lipsyncing. Still i don't get what all the uproar is about.

Because, except for obvious performers (like Britney), the assumption or belief generally has been that most musical acts on SNL were done live. It's not a show like Regis & Kelly or something where the acts are always lip synched.

well the thing is, rock bands sing live (ie. Metallica, Ozzy, GNR, ect...) its the teenie bopper girls that dont sing (ie. Brittney, Ashlee, Hillary Duff, Lohan). Who cares anyway.

A) She tried blaming her band for the fact that she can't sing live (as pointed out, I though SNL prided themselves on being live).
