You should abolish death penalty altogether, I just found it funny to find stoning as a reason not to ally with a country when your country also has death penalty. Obviously the Sharia law violates human rights on other levels than the punishment itself, and I wish secular law replaced it in all countries and that none of the muslim residents of the EU wouldn't want the Sharia law to be introduced here (luckily they're an insignificant minority).
That's where you are wrong friend. I don't care about feeling superior. I care about basic human rights and no person, anywhere, regardless of where they live or what they have done should have stones thrown at them until they are dead. I will continue to care about any person that goes through that and will call out any country or individuals involved, out for their barbarism whether they want me to or not.

The death penalty is obviously disgusting and wrong, but torturing someone to death is worse than killing them relatively quickly and painlessly, without mutilating their body.

It's also worth discussing the rational behind the penalty. In the case of lashing/stoning adulterers, the only reason for the existence of that punishment is that it was codified in a book by some ignorant dude who lived centuries ago. And the contents of that book just happened to become something that millions of people have to accept on blind faith to not end up in eternal hell fire.
I probably can't think of a worse reason for capital punishment than this. In the case of unjust secular laws, you can at least argue against them.

There's also the fact she would be stoned to death FOR ADULTERY. Let's forget about how barbaric, how archaic their ways of state sanctioned murder is compared to ours(which doesn't excuse it), but think about the WHY and it just adds another layer to this being one of the worst things imaginable, if followed through on.
I can't fathom why he would ever try to make the argument he's making.
Then you should see why it's not necessarily hypocritical. I had to put a dog down through the vet because it was sickly. If however I find out a vet was killing dogs by throwing rocks at them until they died, I would not be a hypocrite for being outraged.
