Saudi Divorces Wife After Flight Delay

RIYADH, 1 December 2004 — A Saudi man divorced his wife after she insisted on waiting 13 hours at an airport to take a flight that kept being delayed, Al-Yaum reported yesterday. The couple waited from 9 a.m. until 11 p.m. last weekend to take a flight at the Bisha airport in the south of the Kingdom. The paper quoted relatives of the husband saying the wife refused to return home and take another flight, which led the man to divorce her at the airport
