I found amusing how at red state they ran a puff piece justifying Cruz's decision to not filibuster the Senate vote. Unlike his base, Cruz is smart enough to know hitting the debt limit would plunge the US economy into another recession, but now since he's a darling of the teabaggers and he's got a 100% scorecard at Heritage Action, redstate is salivating all over his malformed face running PR for him..

It's not like these slimy moves and actions don't happen on the other side of the divide, but what makes them tolerable is that they're not doing it running on a platform to buttfuck your average american. The really vile and downright criminal truth about the teabaggers is that they're rising to power on the backs of millions of americans whose lives they're turning into miserable husks.

Anything said about the costs of the ACA should be looked into and not believed at face value. The ACA was passed with a tactic called budget reconciliation and if a budgetary law passed this way is not budget neutral after 10 years it is forced to sun set. That is why the Bush tax cuts were going to expire, because they were passed this way and they caused massive debt and deficit to the budget.

Actually only the amendments to the ACA were passed using reconciliation.

But you can tell he's extremely ambitious and has no remorse whatsoever - he buttfucked the entire GOP during the shutdown to gain notoriety.

Now, pure baseless speculation time ahead! I'd say he plans to enter the republican primary not as a real candidate but to gain even more notoriety and favor with the base. He'll play the "im not here to win, im here to make sure the winner is one of us" card.

I mean in this new GOP the guys who control the party are the extremist organizations funded by the plutocrats and the ideologicaly extremist bases that vote on the primaries. Right now, Cruz is at a very high standing with these two entities and that's a ton of influence.

But hey maybe he IS an enraged loco and he thinks he can win the presidentials...
