Marvel Studios and FOX made a deal that SW and QS could be used in the Avengers universe as long as there was no mention of mutants, FOX is allowed to use them but are not allowed to reference the Avengers.

I think he's planned for Avengers 3.
Thanos will be referenced in Guardians of the Galaxy (several characters in the film have connections to him) and I'm guessing he will be in Avengers 3.
That Loki, he is evil to a point. He has saved the world and the universe just as many times as he has threaten it.

Again they didn't know Magneto was their father for years. They will probably be orphans pissed off at the world and just fell into a bad crowd. Cap will son them into the side of goodness.

I thought Weaving did a great job in The First Avenger.
He didn't like doing the countless hours of makeup for the film though.

We know Hawkeye has a bigger role this go round, and the rest of the team will need screen time as well. It makes much better sense to me to introduce them as villains. There is only so much run time.

I would rather Disney announces that they have purchased the rights back and Sony must immediately halt all production on the Spider-Man IP.
If he does, I don't think it's the kind of thing they would reveal before the movie comes out. That said I don't think he will, because Ultron should stand on his own as a major antagonist for The Avengers. I think it would take away from Ultron if Thanos was somehow involved in his rise to power behind the scenes.
That's what Guardians is for; it helps keep Thanos in people's minds in between Avengers 1 and 3 without having to use him in 2.

I personally want his goofy costume but redone to fit a more modern setting. At the very least give him a mask.

I don't really see the point of a mask. He's not hiding in the public view like other heroes. He's just a secrete agent and no one really knows who he is anyways.
In fact, it didn't feel like any of the heroes in The Avengers had a public and private face.

They've avoided the whole secret identity trope in the MCU almost completely. Tony came out and said it from the beginning and they did away with the Donald Blake character for Thor. I'm hoping Whedon gives Hawkeye a chance to shine but I've been fine with his costume (or lack thereof) since he is introduced in the MCU from the beginning as a SHIELD agent rather than a masked superhero.
What the flying fuck if that would be the storyline.

The Winter Soldier might be able to top Loki. Hell, Thanos or Ultron have the potential to be better villains as well.
I don't like taking away the point of them wearing masks. I know that's how his character was introduced but it just seems weird for a secret agent not too attempt any sort of cover.
I know his mask is goofy but I'm seeing these comic book movies for that aspect. I love all the costumes introduced so far except Hawkeye's. Dull and boring with no stand out features. It doesn't help that Renner is kind of boring and uncharismatic. I wish Jenson Ackles would play Hawkeye.

I get the feeling that, after Fury is rendered comatose, the Redford led SHIELD will be positioned as the villain of the picture and Ultron will be an Avengers contingency plan from SHIELD that goes wrong.

I think Thanos is being held off until they make an Infinity Gauntlet movie. That seems like the next step for Marvel.

If Avengers 2 (or even better 3 after giving Renner a chance to flesh out the MCU hawkeye a little more) doesn't have the Hawkeye Ultimates scene where he flicks hang nails through peoples eyeballs and then picks up two M4s for the first and the security guys just shit themselves out of fear ... it's a wasted opportunity.

It wasn't Wardell's Twitter that the "leak" came from. It was a fake Twitter setup to look like Wardell's.
I quoted the post in the MCU thread in community that would be a lot easier to find than whatever thread it was originally in.

They are obviously setting up Thanos for Avengers 3, but we do need Masters of Evil in one of the movies eventually. I would just be happy with getting Baron Zemo in a Cap movie.

No thanks. Not what they're working towards either, they definitely know better than to try to force that many villains without enough exposition or direction into one movie. Or at least I hope they do.

I dont see a point to Thanos getting a gauntlet , half of the uber powered beings he would be able to humble dont exist in the MCU. The aspects of reality surely dont exist. Galactus is at Fox and the other Pantheons aren't even under consideration for existence so far its been changed to super advanced .....psuedo science.
Half of Phase 2 and possibly all of Phase 3 is centering around the Infinity Objects/Gems, building to the confrontation with Thanos over the Gauntlet in Avengers 3. Which will probably be called The Avengers: Infinity War, in my opinion.
