Seeing how the industry is today was he right all along?

He is partially the reason why the industry is what it is today.
He turned activision around from nothing, had devs that would otherwise be cut work on the cash cows and have them have guranteed employment for years. Under most publishers beenbox would have been let go years ago,

He's a suite who made a lot of money for shareholders. But he made gaming worse to be honest, Activision went from having an extremely varied gaming catalogue to just churning out COD annually, commercially successful but creatively bankrupt.

This. Not to mention working on CoD is a dream resume for every dev.
He was successful because he never believed in "creative freedom" bullshit, he knew if you leave nerds on their own nothing will get ever done. At the end he cashed out for massive amount while pink hair weirdos cheered on Twitter.

Can't argue with this

Under a different publisher, Raven would still be making interesting games.

Also:

I'm not saying he doesn't understands games, but he was one of the guys transforming the industry into a 'packaged goods' factory it is today, instead of a medium that could thrive on its artistic merits which was more the case back in the 90's/early 00's.

He saw the future of gaming and just took advantage of it, we would be at this same place now with or without people like Bobby billions
