If they can get the games to run on the Switch 2 without too much effort, then I think they will. Even if the games don't sell gangbusters on the Switch 2, it's still extra money. They still release games on the Xbox after all. There are also games that have done quite well on the Switch, like Hogwarts, so I think there is a good chance of more third party games coming.True, but Cyberpunk and Elden Ring coming to Switch 2 seems more because of Nintendo's initiative to reach out to those developers, over them deciding by themselves to port those games over to Switch 2 with no influence from Nintendo. The same way the Skyrim port to the original Switch happened. Those kind of Nintendo influenced launch games won't show the general trend though, after Skyrim few of those kind of games came to Switch, probably will be the same with Elden Ring and Cyberpunk on Switch 2.
Generally, third party games on Nintendo ecosystem will be the likes of Fantasy Life and Tamagotchi Plaza, casual, cosy type games. While most games catering to core gamers won't come to Nintendo platforms. No dude, your analysis is like someone who is stuck with the Wii generation would say, I tried to point out with a very recent and basic example. There are more 18+ uncensored games on the Switch than on PS for reference, so much for being for families.
Dude did you see the games on the Switch ? Were were you the last 8 years ?Generally, third party games on Nintendo ecosystem will be the likes of Fantasy Life and Tamagotchi Plaza, casual, cosy type games. While most games catering to core gamers won't come to Nintendo platforms.
I counted two coming games announced with Switch 2 logos at Summer games fest:To be honest I agree. Yesterday it felt weird to watch so many announcements without a Switch 2 logo. And it's happening at a time, when people are grabbing the console like zombies!
You mean like cyberpunk and final fantasy that looks almost identical?Every third party game is going to look like shit on the switch 2 so why bother buying it on that platform anyway 'cyberpunk having no NPC's'? Buy it on the series x, or ps5 if you got one and skip the switch 2 for anything third party wise.
I think the problem is that most of us expected AAA games like MH Wilds and RE9 to fully skip Switch 2, but the fact that the Switch 2 doesn't even get games like Code Vein, Digimon, Persona 4 remake etc is a very bad sign, because those kind of mid tier stuff skipping the Switch 2 means that third party support for Switch 2 will mostly be Fantasy Life style chibi games.I personally don't expect a different situation than with Switch 1 for big games. As games become largely PS5/Series exclusive and fully use the consoles, Switch 2 ports will probably be quite compromised, especially because these consoles have a much better CPU. So this is going to be "blurry 30fps" territory or the game will simply skip the console. That's what I expect anyway for the more ambitious games.
I'll admit that i was but i had an n64 during that time and bought all my games on there as a kid lol.
Maybe if you're Mr.Magoo.You mean like cyberpunk and final fantasy that looks almost identical?
I think it seems that Microsoft multiplatform pivot is almost fully about porting their games to PS, the Switch 2 is not something they care much about. I would only expect a few things like CoD to come to Switch 2 due to them signing a binding agreement with Nintendo to port CoD to Switch. It's pretty disappointing so far. Though we can assume that Microsoft will port everything they can to Switch. So considering they haven't announced anything yet, it is possible that it will take some time before other pubs announce their ports too.
Missing PlayStation 1 is not a flex

Why buying it for ps5, while you can play it portable. Not only that, it support mouse on the go. I honestly think ps5 is going to be obselete for most games. Almost no one is going to give a f* about those minor difference. This isnt the switch 1 area

The PS4 couldn't run the Phantom Liberty DLC according to CDPR themselves but it runs on Switch 2. FF:VII Rebirth isn't on PS4 but they are bringing it to Switch 2.FF and CP have PS4 versions. Most current gen games don't.

Again, when the Switch released, it didn't have this huge amount of 3rd party support. The biggest 3rd party game it had at launch was Skyrim. People seem to not be thinking about the fact that the games announced at SGF were in development before these devs had Switch 2 dev kits.
Can we please give it time before jumping to conclusions?
Your mind reminds me of those really early VR glasses with extremely narrow fields of view. For whom will those games be made for? This is a question that needs to be answered. Any gamer with half a brain who might own the Switch 2, will have it as a secondary system, never the main one. The main system, be it pc, ps5 or the X, will have access to all third party. If that's the case, why the fuck would you waste your money on a third party title that will run like garbage, look like garbage, might cost $10 more, and if you play the game on portable mode, you know, the reason to buy a Switch 2, it'll drain the batteries in like what? 1-2h? It's a complete waste.

I can't wait to play Resident Evil 9 and Onimusha on Switch 2. Those are coming, right?3rd party devs like Level 5, Square Enix, Atlus and Capcom will support Switch 2.

Nope. It's because of that I made this thread. People think that Cyberpunk port on Switch 2 means something, but it's just CD Projekt doing same thing they have made with Witcher 3 and Switch.Did any of the games shown at SGF even get announced for switch 2? I don't remember seeing the switch 2 logo even once.

Most third-party AAA games will not coming to Switch 2, and if they coming, will be in the form of late ports.
Pretty much. Developers will get dev kits soon enough.scaling ps5 games to switch 2 should be way easier than scaling ps4 games to switch 1
as such i think we will even see more 3rd party games this gen
They are launching on Series S which also has GPU power and VRAM amount from 10 years ago though. You mean developers releasing games for PS5 and high end PC's won't release that game on the "new" console with hardware specs from like 10 years ago?
Outrageous.
PC exists so this has no chance of happening.and switch 2 may end up hanging the largest install base in the end.
If Cyberpunk doesn't mean anything, what about Split Fiction, Star Wars Outlaws or Borderlands 4 ? Or FF7 Remake Integrade which will be probably followed up with Rebirth ?Nope.
