As a tradition I will once again hope for Phantasy Star Online 2 localization and leave disappointed. :p

lol, Valkyria Revolution completely absent.

Sent Out To Die CONFIRMED.

Good riddance to bad trash.

I'm surprised, since I'm sure someone is excited with the X1 version

I remember when gaming outlets said Sega left console gaming and was going to focus on mobile

I think mobile hasn't really worked out for them as much as some of their competitors like SE and Bamco. Competition in that space is super fierce with escalating production values - so much so that they may be priced out of that market (premium gacha games)

Edit: Poor localisation management for their hit Japan games included (Chain Chronicle and Hortensia Saga)

There was a minor bit of new (or at least that I hadn't heard before) info about 13 Sentinels in that PR too:

Can't wait to play through the same 4-5 hours campaign 13 times with slightly different scenarios before unlocking the true ending path that reuses all the same stages and bosses with a brand new EPIC ENDING.

Yakuza 6 is an incredible game and gets way too much hate for dropping some stupid mainstay mini-games. The story is wacky and the characters are the best in the series.

Definitely my favourite after Zero, and the new game engine is insanely beautiful. Y'all should be very excited.

No Atlus games on PC for over 20 years despite market grew for Japanese games on PC.
It wont happen in near future.

Yeah, if Atlus was going to go to PC it'd almost certainly be from Atlus USA following the other US translators to Steam. But Atlus Japan seems to be significantly more conservative about such things than the other parent companies (see also Streaming, region-locking on the PS3, etc).

Sonic Mania and Radiant Historia are still the ones that excite me the most.

Almost all the major Japanese publishers are merged entities.

Bandai Namco
Koei Tecmo
Sega Atlus
Konami Hudson
Square Enix (Eidos Taito)

Only Capcom is still standalone compared to its start. I guess we could include Level-5 in that list at this point, but they're a relatively new entity.

Falcom?

We could have a BandaiNamcoSegaAtlusSquareEnix
PriceWaterhouseCoopers
and it still wouldn't reach the level of consolidation that the financial industry has reached.

No SMT HD? Disappointing...
This game has been announced half a year ago and there is absolitly no information about it except for that switch trailer

On the one hand I agree, the hate on the game is incredibly overblown, but it does have several faults that hamper my ranking of it overall - mainly cutting a part of Kamuracho, cutting many heat actions and (super spoilers for the plot
you can't honestly tell me that the little wannabe Yakuza prick was the perfect send off for Kiryu's story? The guy that took down Shibusawa, Nishiki, Jingu, Ryuuji Gooda, Mine and a American Black Market cartel etc. is "taken out" by a coward Tojo traitor and a accountant with daddy issues. They could have retooled and ended the game one boss early for greater effect in my opinion.

That said, I didn't have any issues with Haruka's part of the story (some people were really up in arms on that one) and I absolutely loved the very final scene with Kiryu & Haruto's steps synching up with each other - its probably one of my favourite scenes in any ending).

Also, sidelining 90% of Kiryu's cast for his finale story was a mistake, unless they plan on having his "death" ripple out through the next game as people are still reacting to it, it'll be such a pity that he never got to meet Daigo, Kage, Komaki etc. one last time, not to mention have that showdown against Majima for old times sake :(
.

So yeah, I love the game, but 0, 5 and Ishin has it beat in terms of content, 1, 2, 0, Kenzan, Ishin and 4 has it beaten in terms of story (in my opinion. I feel that 6 has laid the ground work really well for the next game in the series where I think we'll get even more places to explore, more to do and a even more refined combat engine.

What mini games got the axe?

Uhh...what made you so optimistic that we were gonna hear about news about it that soon?

Back during the Switch reveal event, the Nintendo execs pretty much said that the 3rd party title is still at a very early phrase and "Atlus was kind enough to create this trailer for us".

It basically tells you a SMT title is coming for Switch and nothing else, no gameplay or whatsoever. Let's just wait for more concise news if not some of us Atlus fans might be burned like that time when that SMTxFE teaser trailer set too much of an expectation

Sooo, i am playing Persona 5 right now and it's awesome. Just read up some plot details on Persona 4 and 3, and they both sounded great as well.
I was wondering is there any chance of previous Personas to come to PS4?

What mini games got the axe?

Bowling, all casino gambling (poker, black jack, baccurat, roulette), all other gambling games (Cee Lo, Cho Han, Koi Koi etc.), the fighting arena, Shogi, UFO Crane game :( fishing (well, in the normal sense its gone, but you get a speargun fishing game instead that is completely different. Great fun!). Probably a few I'm forgetting as well, I only counted those that returned numerous times in the series, rather than one off ones used in 0/Kiwami.

Its worth noting though that existing mini games have either received a fresh coat of paint (Mahjong) or overhauled (Darts, Karaoke) with others getting nice tweaks like the arcade games getting different cabs with different difficulties making stuff like Outrun and Super Hang On much easier. Plus it has a nice range of brand new mini games.

It'd be decidedly odd for any new Atlus game to be first announced at E3. You shouldn't expect Atlus to announce anything but translations and publishing agreements at primarily Western events.

Persona 5 was first announced in a ps conference on the west wasnt it?

Anyway the only Atlus game I see getting shown on E3 first in the foreseeable future is Re;Fantasy and that is miles away
And smt 5, but that will probably get nintendo direct treatment most likely

I'm especially excited about 13 Sentinels, been looking forward to that for a long time. It's still coming to Vita, right? ....right?

This is too damn accurate, lmao

No seriously though, the game comes out in 20 days and we have literally seen NOTHING of the localization.

They know it's complete trash and aren't wasting any more resources than they have to on its western release.
