Haven't hey already? I mean you can't buy the gems for cheap.
Now if Sega CD game prices suddenly skyrocket we will know who to blame. Monster.
Quite glad the only real expensive one I need is Lunar 2. Settled for disk only on Popful Mail and got it for $30 a while back.
I'm already kicking myself after seeing Terminator on the video
Get Elemental Master.
Just received my copy and love it. TechnoSoft in their prime were incredible. I made it through 3 of 4 of the beginning stages and had to put it down but will be playing a heap more over the holiday weekend. Really cool game.
Have a weird problem. Trying to play mortal kombat 2 with the 6 button controller but it isn't working. I went into the settings and changed the controller to 6 button, but even after doing that it only registers abc and not xyz. Any reason this would happen?
Yeah. It doesn't change anything. It's strange since MK1 works perfectly with it.Did you try holding the mode button as you turn the system on?
Okay.
This is driving me nuts.
To the left of the Power Base Converter, there's a mysterious thing that looks to have IR Windows. WHAT THE HECK IS IT? Abandoned prototype? I cannot for the life of me figure out what that thing is!

That 4th stage has one of my favorite VGM tracks ever.

First, I wanted to urge Mr. Sewart to finish the next episode of Generation-16!
I mean, look what's happened in the gap between shows! (It was $10 brand new, so I wasn't able to resist checking if there was time for KLAX!)
For the main course, I took a few photos of the new ROM book.
No one in this thread, of all places, should go without. It is excellent!
The cover is pure class, a great signal to what's to come.
All the schematics and reference materials included are just amazing. There's so much that I'd never seen before!
Even logo artwork gets a couple of pages of appreciation.
There's a great amount of artwork sourced from the real paintings, free of logos and everything else.
Again, lots of it I'd never seen whole before like this!
Sonic's infamous human girlfriend. Great follow-up to having read the backstory in Console Wars!
Among a number of design docs, there are storyboards also!
They've included lots of sprite sheets dedicated to characters and background art.
Lots of fantastic interviews in the final section! I haven't finished them all yet.
It took a lot longer than I expected, but I've returned with pictures!
Just got this in the mail.
So fucking kawaii. Look at his little Sonic cartridge.
Yes. Into Megatron.Does it transform?
The great Strafefox youtube channel makes a video about Disney games on the Mega Drive:

I love these videoes, very informative and nicely presented.
Oh yes, absolutely. I received my first 6 button pad in the middle of my playthrough and I couldn't believe the difference it made in nailing those jumps, or even just walking through a room exit without first grinding against a wall for a bit.Was just playing Landstalker last night, actually.
It's pretty fun. Controls kinda stiffly, considering you can only move on diagonals. Also looks dreadful over RF, but given the circumstances I was playing it in (was at my parents' house, so I was using my old Model 2 Genesis from when I was, like, 5-6, connected to an old 720p HDTV over RF, instead of the HDG Model 1 connected to an XRGB over SCART), couldn't be helped. Did play much nicer with the six-button pad I'd picked up a few months ago than the three-button pads I'd otherwise been using, at least! I mean, Landstalker isn't a six-button game, but the less-stiff D-Pad makes the controls more bearable.
RKA sounds promising! I'll dig in tomorrow.
That's Landstalker taken care of. Those last two dungeons are a bummer and I resorted to using a guide. In fact, quality takes a nosedive already when you're wrapping up Mercator. I still love the first half of the game though.
Landstalker is awesome though - having grown up with the insanely difficult isometric games on the Speccy/C64, it was nice to play through something that didnt require a stack of graph paper to complete.
And I'm SO close to finishing the next episode of Generation 16! Extra hours at work lately have slowed the process a bit, but I'm currently down to two segments left to edit before putting the whole thing together and uploading.
You've made a fine choice this day. Easily one of the best games the Genesis has to offer.
The most annoying part for me was the town where you have to talk to EVERYONE before you can get into the castle (forgot the towns name.) was stuck there for a while.

I really wanted to like Landstalker, but i just can't. The isometric style of game just annoys me to no end, and that game can be pretty grindy for an action-RPG. Great music though.
It's awsome!I want the Genesis version of Mercs even though I own the arcade version in Capcom Classics Volume 1 for it's exclusive features.
