rearranged my whole setup to allow the 32X to be plugged in at all times, only to find
a) my cable is kinda garbage/loses color at certain angles
b) my mega everdrive gets a blue screen on it, despite working fine on the genesis...

I need a picture of a power base converter in a genesis 1 from the back.

The turtles started badass, though. It was only the original cartoon that softened them up.

The NA cover is generally a hell of a lot better drawn, too. Lot better use of color, contrast, lighting, etc. That EU cover just looks like a copy+paste job from some existing turtle art that was used to promote the cartoon.

Yeah, it wasn't particularly cheap, but you don't see them that often out in the wild, so I figured it was best to grab it at that price. On eBay it usually goes for quite a bit more.

I'd also like to know this artist's name. All of his box art was better than the JP box art, by far. He did the artwork for Castlevania III, Super Castlevania IV, Bayou Billy, Cybernator, Sunset Riders, Super C, Contra III, Turtles in Time, Castlevania Bloodlines, etc. Very distinct style, and I can't find any info on him. It's definitely not Peringer, his style is more of that sleek 80's airbrushed look. The Konami artist's style is more rough, looks more painterly.

I definitely don't think that is correct. I literally just checked and they look identical. I can't do a direct capture until my xcapture 1 arrives tomorrow, but the off screen pictures I took look identical.

*It should be noted that I'm using an everdrive on the genesis to play the SMS game.

Yeah something seems off there. Maybe it's because of his upscaler because I struggle to tell the difference between my RGB modded SMS2 and MD on a CRT for SMS games.

I checked on both my framemeister as well as my crt. The photos I took are indistinguishable from each other. If I didnt know which I took first, I would have no idea which was which.

My pictures are both basically the same as his genesis picture.

I'm going to double check tomorrow when I get my capture card in. But I think something is up with his master system if the picture is that dark.

So fun fact, i just found a full, retail game for the Sega CD that was multiplayer only: NFL Football Trivia Challenge. I was playing it for a video, and i thought my controller was broken. No, turns out that the back of the box is a lie, and the game has no single-player at all. In order to start, you had to use Controller 2. This is kind of incredible. Also its probably the worst Sega CD game i've ever played.

The Megadrive RGB output is brighter, so much that the original cable had correction the form of resistors and capacitors. Without these the picture is way too bright.

And depending on the mod, the RGB output of the Master System may be not bright enough and needs to be boosted. The original French Master System with RGB only needs an additional board in the cable to do just that. Modded Master System from other countries may or may not need it.

Both the Master System and Genesis do RGB without mods, though, and they use the same cable.

If he's using the same cable and capture hardware for both systems, then it's kind of odd. I definitely think he ought to test on duplicate consoles to see if his results are consistent.
