Alright Red Zone is fine, as is Marvel Land, giving us the following nominations for march:
Ristar
Mercs
Thunder Force 3
Red Zone
Marvel Land
Voting will be up soon!
Same guys that did Sub-Terrania. From the screenshots I've seen, it looks a little like Chaos Engine.I've never played it. But the graphics look good as hell.
Yep!Also,Vote Ristar
I used to play this on a Genesis back when it 1st came out, this time I shall beat it!Can't wait to play some Comix Zone
can i change my vote? i thoughtwas rastan and got it mixed up. if not it's cool haharistar
Just pm me your choice and ill fix it.
With a total of 13 of the 26 votes, Ristar (yellow) won what is probably the most convincing victory so far and is thus the game for march! The other votes went like this:
I kind of agree. Lesser known games don't stand a chance once a well known game is nominated. You know, I think I'd be okay if each poll dictated the next two games to be played. For example, from this poll we'd deduce that the next two games would be Ristar (March) and Marvel Land (April). That way a lesser known game is likely to make the rounds as (usually) the more popular one would take first in each poll.
I know I've posted since, but have you seen the intro to it?I've never played it. But the graphics look good as hell.
awesome post - 2 was fun co-op on SMS but hard, III was a neat light gun game once you learned the patterns. i recall sega's newsletter back then letting me get it free with a few mailed in UPCs or something?
Thanks. -- I don't think I got that particular Sega newsletter. Let me see if it's uploaded online somewhere.
....One of these is not like the othersJust realized Ristar was developed by Sonic Team. Neat. I thought this was some 3rd party generic crappy platformer.like Crash, Jak & Daxter, Bubsy, ...

did you ever find it? i still have a few copies - it was free, but like 5-6 pages, its what they did before Visions in the genesis era. there's rare sega stuff you could get only through it, like the big after burner poster & actual copies of power strike.
a few knuckleheads on ebay want way too much for it, but im pretty sure ive scans about if you're looking!
Me too!Thats so cool David! I actually played it a bit today as well, but i played pretty bad and already got a game over on the second level. Going to play it a lot the next month and try to beat it though!
Wow! You're tackling it so fast =)Alright, I got to level 6 for the first time today! I've now figured out a path through the first 5 levels that I'm happy with.

I hope I get to it soon myself
If you make it to level 3 or 5 you get one additional life. The trick is knowing which path to take, and how to best destroy obstacles without taking much damage.I'm really bad at Comix Zone, haven't even seen level 2 yet. Do you always start at the beginning whenever you die? I'm not sure I'll be able to beat it this month, I only have time on weekends.
