Seems like my Amazon pre-order will be here on the 16th, too.

I can live with that. It's better than being a week late or something. Two more days to wait for life.

Posters were saying 15 Oct if I'm not wrong. Will have to check again tomorrow.

Alright, great news.

Marvelous is pretty good at releasing English games in Asia, though they forget to release DLC sometimes (like with Muramasa Rebirth's 3rd and 4th ones)

Seems like I got my delivery date updated as well.

A friend of mine also had theirs updated from Unknown as well, so it seems like it might be starting to give dates maybe.

Mine update thursday, free shipping option so it's not due to come in until the next week.

It's ok, I've got evil within next week and then shinovi Versus the next week. Hype so many games this october, and so many more the coming months.

There's even more than that- some of the Dekamori Senran Kagura DLC also works with Shinovi Versus. And all of the Shinovi Versus DLC is compatible with Dekamori, IIRC.

All of Shinovi Versus' DLC is compatible with Bon Appetit, but I'm fairly certain the opposite is NOT true -- I'll have to check on that to be sure, but I'm like, 90% certain Bon Appetit DLC only works in Bon Appetit, whereas Shinovi Versus DLC works in both Shinovi Versus AND Bon Appetit.

Should just buy the Asia English version

I'm almost certain that the soundtrack and book included in the Asian version are NOT the same as the soundtrack and book included in our version -- pretty sure they're what the Japanese version got, which means it's a book with fewer pages (and exclusively art, without any strategy components to it), and a soundtrack CD with fewer tracks.

Also, I believe the Asian version was released while we were still editing the English text, which means if it does include English, it won't be the final, fully-edited English text that we have in our release.

I'm not 100% certain on this, since I've never actually seen the Asian version, but the timing of its release very much suggests it's not the same as ours -- so do beware if you're treating it as an alternative!

Since we're on the topic of DLC, any news on pricing? Should we assume it'll be the same price as the JPN versions?

I don't think we've ever exactly matched Japanese pricing on DLC, have we? Most Japanese games tend to be more expensive than their western counterparts, and DLC typically (though not always) follows suit. Different markets call for different prices, after all.

That's not a clue, however, as I have absolutely no idea how much the DLC is in Japan, and only the vaguest recollection of how much we plan to offer it for here. And either way, we haven't announced any news on DLC pricing and likely won't until the DLC itself begins to trickle out onto PSN, so you'll just have to wait and see. Sorry!

Strange, I could've sworn that people confirmed on here Bon Appetit's costumes worked in SV....though looking at the thread I was thinking of, seems the costume of chocolate & fruit was originally from SV. Guess I was thinking it came from Bon Appetit since it's...well, basically a costume made of food.

Edit: I'm guessing we'll get the PSN avatars as well? OH & now that Vita has themes, you don't suppose Marvelous will make a SK one?

The English Asia version is seemly going to be released this week as well as seen here. Was responding to a guy who said he lived in SEA.

Posters were saying 15 Oct if I'm not wrong. Will have to check again tomorrow.

Also, my account is Asian, so I kinda don't have a choice, unless the online pass has been removed and DLC is cross compatible across regions.

Also, off topic here, but could you bug Marvelous to release Muramasa Rebirth's 3rd and 4th DLC in Asia? I really don't want to wade though (probably unsupportive) customer support in Japanese asking them about English versions.

You know, you guys could just work more closely with Marvelous to release English versions here in Asia.

Oh. I thought it was already out -- my bad!

I don't think it would be in our place to bug Marvelous Japan about a game we never published. You might want to ask Aksys.

Not entirely our choice. We have no means of releasing Asian English versions at the moment. Maybe that'll change in the future, but for now, we're entirely reliant on other parties to handle those for us.

I already did a few weeks back. They said they will inform Marvelous, but nothing came out of it. And from my few efforts with bugging Japanese costumer support for Asia stuff, they are almost completely unhelpful, from we only provide support for Japan to the DLC release dates have yet to be confirmed (for stuff that has been out for months elsewhere). Also, writing and reading their replies is really hard, for someone with just elementary Japanese.

Which is why I say work more closely? At least communicate and know the situation, like release dates and extras included. Asia never gets any proper details on anything before release, unless it is the Chinese version.

thursday gives me more time to beat the hebi campaign for burst.

pretty hard to beat it just by doing story stuff lol. fucking haruka's first ninpo sucks balls.

Alright, the deed is done, I got it pre ordered.
Was going to pick up Burst since it was on sale but it was far bigger then I thought and can't fit on my SD card.

Question on DLC, saves and region comparability: I'm importing a physical copy to the UK because it looks damned sexy, and Vita memory space is figuratively and literally valuable. However now I've seen some of the DLC, I want it.

Will PAL DLC work with an NTSC cartridge, and if not, can I use the same save if I get it digitally later?

No and no.

If you want to have DLC with your NTSC-U cartridge, you will need an NTSC-U account (e.g. Canadian, US-American). Since a Vita memory card only works with one account at a time, save games are locked to your account, which means you won't be able to use the save game on a digital copy either - you would probably be able to use it if you play the US cartridge on your UK account, but that means missing out on the DLC.

So in order to get DLC for the US copy, you will need to have a US account, which means you'll need a second memory card (plus a partial back up everytime you change) or do a full back up of the Vita, delete everything, connect the US account and, if you want to change it back, do the same thing, connect your EU account, get the EU data on the system and the memory card, rinse and repeat (as far as I understand it). It's a hassle, but it's better than outright region locking.

Blast! Ah well, just going to have to buy the game twice then!

At least that way I'll have it on launch day and not have to wait for it to get here from Canada though.

Shop's getting ready for Life and Hometown come the 15th.

Proudly put my name in the Vita pre-order list as "staff. Initial premiums onegaishimasu!" in caps.

Dibs on the poster if my colleagues aren't calling them.

Sucks that DLC concerns prevents me from getting XSEED's "Let's Get Physical" edition (if it was brought in), since Rin and Daidouji-senpai ;_;

I did get the Ys: Memories of Celceta Silver Anniversary Edition though. That was a really nice package.

That's one lovely poster. You guys even have a whole section for Vita? I always thought people are shelving the Vita stuffs as far as possible, lol.

We Singaporeans enjoy a healthy mix of Japanese (those being the otaku crowd) and localized titles (more of this please). There's two shelves for Vita games, and another for PSP titles.

EDIT: You're correct- I just checked the PSN store to confirm. My confusion came from them releasing new DLC for Shinovi Versus when Dekamori came out.

By the way, any word on Playstation TV support?

Yup.

It won't be compatible right away, but it should be compatible shortly after release -- there were a few complications with this title that needed to be taken care of.

Akiba's Trip shooooould be compatible from launch, though. Keyword "shooooould." ;)

(Partially because of the touchscreen puzzles, though, I'm afraid Ys Celceta will likely not be compatible at all until we're able to release the patch for it -- which we are looking into.)

Got the call from GS saying it'll be there Tuesday morning. They even said the name of the game instead of "...your game..." & added "limited edition" at the end.

Proudly debt free. If you need a couple bucks, just ask.
So does anyone have an Amazon delivery date before Thursday?
