hmmm there doesn't seem to be any benefit of playing hard over normal
is there some unlockable tied to that?
also is it just me or do non default outfits not tear up? Put the apron on a gal and it never got a single rip or anything even when i got slaughtered.

how do you NOT get hit though? some of these characters have really irregular combo ranges and I don't think you can do anything about range stuff. Dash doesnt seem to deflect them.
boss fights are quite harder than burst too which you can easily infinite combo. hmmm...
The game rating system is quite harsh lol. I need to see some 'pro vids' to see what im doing wrong.
For those interested in Senran Kagura artbooks, here's a compiled list of all of them. Also, I recommend Lawson HMV if you want to buy Japanese books because they exclude 8% consumption tax for overseas orders and frequently have campaigns where you can collect more points or coupons which can be used to get a discount for your next order. They ship via EMS.

NOOOOOOOOOO! I can't start it up on my PSTV anymore. It says it can't be used with this system. Why when I was able to before? Don't deprive me of life Sony.
Edit: wait, fixed it. Needed to click on the refresh button for some reason.
Well I just ordered the LE from EBGames.ca and will cancel my Amazon.ca pre-order. I would have ordered from Futureshop/Best Buy, but they're sold out.
To get higher score ranks I think you almost have to get either higher levels, or higher stats on Yin/Yang/Flash, unless you are an expert of this type of game. Your base level should affect your attack power, and stat level should grand you more combo and partial invincibility.
If you go down the storyline basically all characters will level up anyway.
Uhh... were you replying to my post above? If so, I think both Senran Kagura NewWave Official Visual Collection and Senran Kagura Series Official Illustration Collection are good choices if you just want full color artworks.
Oh BTW, if there's a Kinokuniya bookstore in your country, it might be cheaper to order from them instead. Do a search for "閃乱カグラ" under Japanese Books category. http://www.kinokuniya.com/
Same day as me... I contacted them today and they upped my shipping to priority.. I hope mine doesn't get cancelled =/
she even said
05:16 PM PDT Krishna(Amazon): Our shipping estimates--such as (TIME) take into account the time it takes to receive the item from our suppliers, package it, and prepare it for shipment.
It is the maximum estimate to receive the stock from our supplier. We have already contacted the supplier to get the stock of this item and we're expecting to receive the stock soon from them.
We will ship the item as soon as we get the stock from the suppliers.

Thank for the suggestion, but they are charging a whooping $40 (50$S) for a " Senran Kagura Series Official Illustration Collection". Buying 2 books from Lawson is way cheaper. I guess I'll go with those 2.
Yea I contacted them and they were basically just like "not getting any more, so here is 15.00 sry". I was super upset. Probably a stupid rep and they actually didn't get any yet.
Ended up having two shipped to my American apartment for myself and my gf from Amazon.com instead of her place.

I'm on Chapter Five and she's level 18, so... Maybe I need to just. Go back and level more. IDK. All I know is I'm getting my ass handed to me on a boob-lined platter.

I remember someone suggested going with Gessen first, since they are the lightest in story, while Crimson Squad last. If my mind serves me right, the order would be Gessen -> Hanzo -> Hebijo -> Crimson.
I'm not the one to ask, I'm afraid. We're not handling the EU release -- Marvelous Europe is. Despite sharing a name, we're not the same company, so we can't really comment on their plans.
What happened in the JP version was that...they added a special button to the game's splash page a few months later, where your taken to a special PSN link to download an app that loads the OST onto your memory card; kind of like some of Sony's games. Must be only for those that bought the game because hitting the link in the activities section doesn't bring up anything on the actual PSN store.
Getting a bit anxious right now. Im EU and really want to play this game, but I don't know whether the EU digital version will end up being compatible with EU PSTV (don't have a Vita). Therere too many differences between the US / EU compatibility lists for me to be confident about it.
Half tempted to import the US physical version, but again Im unsure about its compatibility with EU PSTV. Waiting for the EU PSTV to release next month before making a decision is an option, but Im worried the physical versionll be sold out by then.
Man, things were so much simpler when I didn't worry about this stuff. Apologies for the stream of consciousness.

I've just finished the Hanzō campaign - plot-wise, should I also play through Hebijo before starting this? Or does their story just run parallel without adding stuff I should know?

Hebijo is a retelling which change some little details - most notably "blah blah I'm not listening" Continuity-wise, as SV takes place after the Hebijo chapter in Burst, it's considered the 'canon' for the Sony SK games.
Thanks - I'll power through it as quickly as I can then, as long as my 3DS holds out. My SD card slot died this morning, but I have the physical version of the game, so I hope I'm okay for now.
