Amazon limited edition still has yet to ship. Supposed to be here Thursday. I'm pretty okay with trading on time delivery for some Amazon credit. I'm going to be a little upset if they run out of inventory though since this wouldn't be the first time Amazon has sold me a limited edition they didn't have stock to cover.
Get used to tapping the block button liberally to readjust the camera, and don't lock on unless there's a boss for the most part. It still gets hectic in close quarters, but it's really fine once you start tapping the block button.

got my copy from best buy and they fucked up. It was shipped in a bubble mailer.
Why do fucking companies do this? Why do they ship LE in bubble mailers? I called and demanded them to reship another copy and told them that I will continue to do so if they come damaged.
My copy has all sorts of dents on the outer box. Okay I can maybe live with that. The artbook is also dented in the corner.

That sucks. I was tired of Amazon sending me bubble mailers so I specifically requested they ship SV to me in a box. I'm amazed my copy of SMT IV arrived in good condition...

When I picked up my copy the manager said I was the only person who preordered at that location. And because I did, they received an additional copy. Someone was on the way to pick it up. So I guess I kind of gave the gift of physical life and hometown.

I just started and I've already fallen in love with Murakumo.
She's so dang cute and she's fun as heck to play with and she gives me SamSho vibes with her animal attacks. Never forget good ol' Galford.
I am still trying to get the hang of not completely whiffing her breach attack but aside from that she's easy and fun to use.

except mine came from amazon.
i haven't opened it yet because i'm heavily considering returning it.
hopefully my copy from gamestop is in decent shape. i'll be picking it up tomorrow.
Anecdotally anyways, my copy from gamestop is in perfect condition.
I went out and bought the physical copy at the local EB/gamestop/whatever.
This actually seems to be a bit more fun than the 3DS entry and it runs at a much better framerate. Since it's in full 3D though, it's also a little bit harder to play. In burst you can easily aerial rave your way into 200 hit combos but here it's way easier to get knocked out since you have to pay attention to perspective and such. I've only bothered to play a few stages so far but it is fun.
Physical edition artbook is also very nice.

well I hopefully there are enough copies. I asked the CS lady if I can just ship to store and pickup but it was too late since I already placed a reshipped.
Hopefully the 2nd copy comes in fine... if not I have to hope they have enough stock, and ship a 3rd copy to the store for me to pickup.

Yeah, I picked mine up from GS and I guess someone beat me to the punch since there were only 2 of the 3 copies left. They gave me one, but I asked for the other and took the less dented of the duo (as in pretty dang immaculate).

I'm not sure I understand what the gameplay is like, even after reading the OP. Is there any game it is similar to?
It feels kind of musou-ish but you have to defeat all the enemies in a set location before the next event or area opens up
...well that's most of it. Some has defeat all enemies in a time limit or just defeat the opposing girl in musou fashion.

Thaaaats partially true. Honestly, to me it feels like a mashup of Dissidia and Dynasty Warriors. Although the combat is a bit deeper than either of those.
Mine was shipped in a box and it was still screwed. Two of the air pocket cushions were popped, so the game must've been flopping around in the box. The outer box wasn't even in bad shape.
I wanted them to reship it to the store too, but they already set it up to go to my house. Hopefully the second time is the charm; otherwise I'll have to just order it again and have it shipped to the store. (Watch the store put one of those anti-theft wraps on it that mangle the box then)

I remember hearing similar horror stories about them and the Bravely Default LE, so many people were upset when their fame came in damaged as fuck.
I know the popular thing nowadays is to hate on GameStop but I have NEVER *knocks on wood* received any game from them damaged. I mainly preorder at the store but even the rare occasions I've ordered to my house, its always in perfect condition. I read horror stories about Best Buy and Amazon all the time, and I know that not EVERYONE gets damaged boxes but for me, I'd rather order from GameStop, pick it up at the store, and if its damaged I can ask them right then and there if they have another copy to switch it out for. This seems a lot more reasonable (once again, in my opinion), than waiting for BB or Amazon to ship to my house, then have to go a few days with no game while I ship the damaged game back to them and wait for a replacement.
But that's just me.
For GameStop, you can politely request a shopworn discount (typically 5-10%) if you want to keep that damaged box or you can try asking a manager to shoot word up the chain to see if they can send another copy to the store. I wish I could say something more specific but the best thing I can say is to be polite.
The two SKSV we got in were in immaculate shape. The Duck Dynasty LE in the same box.. Not so much.
