Ah shieeet. When Johnny B Badd beat Pillman in Fall Brawl he got a shot at the Stinger for the US Championship. I figured the match would be at Nitro but it's actually on WCW Saturday Night Show. Hopefully WWEN put Saturday Night soon. XD

Why the HELL did this happen? People are dicks to Teddy for no reason at all

Teddy Long screwed over Taker at Breaking Point 2009 (?) with a not Montreal screwjob for reasons I can't remember so next SD Taker was all like "buckle up Teddy" and took him for a drive where I assume he vented his frustrations verbally within the confines of the limo complete with mood lighting and dry ice.

It never happened. DDP had Maxx Muscle cut all of Johnny's tires, thinking that as TV Champion, he'd be the number one contender and get the match. He didn't. Pillman got the match and lost.

From a media conference call he did to promote Takeover, HHH's response to being asked about when Devitt and Steen will be debuting on NXT now that KENTA is debuting
HHH said that there was a plan in place. His goal is to bring them up in the biggest way possible. He wants to make them all as big a star as possible.

He also seems to say that Steen and Devitt will be keeping their names for now like KENTA, and that he has said to the NXT roster that they have to be motivated to stand out because KENTA, Steen and Devitt are going to be arriving and be pushed as stars immediately, so it's up to the NXT talent to ensure they're not lost in the shuffle.

Sounds good.

I'm down. Hunter's a mark, which bodes well in this situation.

HHH doesn't seem to completely subscribe to the Vince logic of rebranding everyone when they sign up for the E, apparently. I'm 100% okay with this.

Woman screaming Flair's first name whenever he was in trouble was such a great touch by her. It was like the wife of a prize fighter going hysterical because her husband is getting beaten to death in the ring.

It's hilarious how good HHH has gotten at working people. Got you guys eating out of his hand.

If it gets Kenta and Devitt on weekly TV in the US, fuck his hand, I'll eat out his ass.

Wonder if that means there'll be some callups to make room. Sure one of Neville, Breeze, Zayn and the Ascension will at the very least.

That's always been one of the dumbest Vinceisms. Bring in a guy who has a reputation and already has a following, and then start him from scratch. That's bad business.

So what do you think about him and NXT then?

edit: It seems though it might be the bigger star you the better chance you have to keep your name. I'm not sure Willie Mack is going to keep his name though.

Yeah, I mean I can understand with Generico because I doubt a masked white guy would get over well. PAC may have been too close to X-Pac as well. No reason to rename Tyler Black or John Moxley though, even though their new names have grown on me.

Vince is just totally out of date with modern branding/messaging.

The problem with Rose is that the entrance is over, he is not. So they're using the entrance to get the bunny over. And that's fine.

His specific words according to the summary is that if a guy's name has value, it's a waste of said value to change it. KENTA is a name in Japan, so if they sign him and change his name to Mitsubishi or whatever, they just lost that marketing value for no reason.
The whole copyrighting of names part is important for branding but it shouldn't be set in stone.

Aw, that's too bad. Maybe WCW creative had no confidence in him having a decent match with Sting?

This fourth episode of Nitro at the end and the Giant hits his chokeslam awesome. He falls down with them to the canvas. It looks awesome...

I think it tends to be overrated and I only watch the specials really.

I also hear Triple H talk about Adam Rose's "success" on the main roster so maybe we'll just keep moving those goal posts.

Its good show right now but when Kenta, Devitt, and Steen show up people are going to call the best show ever or say its overrated.

Its developmental so not every episode will be the greatest.

Plus for Adam Rose I consider his spot right now a success. His character will never be main event. The big success right now is the Shield, Rusev and Paige. Also, its hard to judge his words when don't know how much influence he has over them when they get called up.

Yeah, that is true for the Big 3. Devitt and Kenta have name value in the Japan market. Steen was the top Indie guy but is there name value for someone like Willie Mack?

I'm sure they did but it was to start the DDP/Badd program that would last through at least February of 1996. Or whenever Mero quit. Over that angle.

"It's hard to judge" = "All the bad stuff is Vince's idea" narrative again. Congrats, you're thinking what he wants you to think.

I expect the best ratings wrestling has ever had and good Raws always when HHH takes over.

HHH is such a good judge of talent. WWE's product is in good hands with him.

To those of you who also write match breakdowns, what's your strategy? I'm trying to be more economical, but it's really damn hard, especially when trying to write up a Young Bucks match.

How do you call some of this crazy creativity?

BucksKaz.jpg

Do you...

-take notes/write about the match as it happens and then go back and edit?
-watch the match first then write about it based on your interpretation of the story?
-take a different approach altogether?

Here is my breakdown of their match against Kaz and Daniels:
http://www.wrestleenigma.com/ring-o...eptember-6-2014-tag-team-dream-match-shines/3

The Bucks are out first, followed by Kaz and Daniels. The crowd chants “Su-per kick!” and “Young Bucks!” Daniels also gets a “Fallen Angel” chant.

Daniels and Matt start things off. Kaz tries to get involved when Daniels gets tossed to the outside, but he’s neutralized and gets tossed to the outside too. There’s an interesting spot with one of the Bucks jumping to the outside and getting caught by Kaz and Daniels. The other Buck then slides underneath, only to get his brother tossed at him into the barricades.

Kaz and Daniels double-team Matt back in the ring. Nick gets a tag to fight back. The Bucks double-team Kaz.

Corino says it best. “It’s so hard to call a Young Bucks match.” Try writing about it, Steve.

Daniels hits a bulldog on Matt, then picks up Nick and gets him to hit a leg drop on his own partner. Creative spot. He then hits a flatliner and works it into the Koji clutch on Matt. Nick comes in to break up the submission effort.

Kaz gets in after more double-teaming action. He hits a stalled suplex on Matt and there’s more great double-teaming by The Addiction.

Matt stays neutralized and gets isolated away from Nick. He keeps reaching for the hot tag, but is repeatedly denied. Of course, this is wrestling, so he does eventually get there.

Nick cleans house with some crazy workrate. He hits a face buster on Daniels after springboarding from the apron into the ring, and then a swinging DDT on Kaz on the outside.

Nigel says “And the action never stops!” He’s right. This match is way too fast to keep up with. The crowd chants “This is awesome!”

Forget it, I can’t keep up with all this action. Time for a Cliff’s Notes overview of the final 5-6 minutes of this awesome match.

Kicks. Punches. Daniels suicide dive on Matt. Superkick party. Angel’s Wings gets reversed. Wham, bam, thank you ma’am double-teaming by The Young Bucks. STO by Daniels. All four men in the ring.

SUPERKICK.

SUPERKICK.

Northern lights by Kaz on one Buck while the other has his legs locked on the mat. DOUBLE superkick on Kaz. Buckle bomb. More Bang for Your Buck stopped. Springboard moonsault by Daniels onto the outside.

Daniels gets superkicked OFF THE TOP ROPE and onto the outside. Nick and Kaz are the only ones left standing in the ring, and Nick is on the top rope.

The finish: Kaz hits the Flux Capacitor on Nick Jackson off the top rope for the victory!

Post-match: The crowd chants “That was awesome” and “ROH.” The two teams shake hands.

And then there's analysis.

Jail time for watching animated child porn

QUEBEC CITY -- A former private security guard at CFB Valcartier will spend 60 days in jail for watching Japanese child-porn cartoons known as hentai.

Regis Tremblay, 54, cited "curiosity" for watching the explicit cartoons in January 2012. The base is located approximately 25 km north of Quebec City.

Quebec court judge Bernard Lemieux sentenced the former Commissionaires guard on Monday at the Quebec City courthouse.

Tremblay acknowledged he watched the child pornography several times while he was running the ammunition depot at Valcartier Garrison.

Investigators recovered 210 hentai files from a hard drive, along with 501 incriminating web addresses from his browser history, the court heard.

Crown prosecutor Nathalie Leroux said most of the cartoons depicted the sex organs or anal regions of characters who looked like minors.

"Whether it's a cartoon image or a photograph, any representation of underage people's genitals is illegal under the Criminal Code," said Leroux.

Tremblay will be a registered as a sex offender for 10 years.
