And oh shit Andre in 79 squashing two dudes in NJPW looks like Skaaland is managing him at this point. I love the echo on Andre's voice in the enclosed arenas. Just adds to his character.
I recommend the Andre match a lot. It's actually really funny. Like one of those old timey 'wrestle a bear' matches but with Andre instead of the bear. Andre gets both guys in a leg scissors.
I remember seeing footage of Andre wrestling in like 1971, and all ripped and slim, looking like some kind of god next to everyone else.

Andre in the 70s is like a completely different person than Andre in the 80s. I always wondered how his career would have looked if he had the same face he had in his youth. Here he is in a 6 man in 72 if that's what you're referring to.

I can understand the company not wanting wrestlers to blade anymore, but if you just get busted open the match shouldn't be stopped it's really really shitty. Imagine if they would've done some shit like that during Brock and Cena at extreme rules.
I forget if it was 2009 or 2010 when they kept stopping matches to stop bleeding. It was really fucking lame.

So as expected, Smart Mark Video put up Night 1 of King of Trios 2014 already;
Unsure how it is, it was edited live, which says to me one of two things:
1: They could've done iPPV but couldn't because of TNA people
or 2: They captured the tapes while the show was going on and edited that way
Either way, expect rough ass days on this edit. They're re-editing it in a few days, though. 10 bucks, stream only, probably with that goofy digital convenience fee of a buck or whatever at the end of it.

What a surprise, Hogan and the DoD aren't on the show and it is the most enjoyable Nitro in months. So weird how that works. Macho threatens a WCW VP. He also threatens to blow up city hall. He's arrested. Multiple Lethal Lottery matches are drawn for Slamboree. Eddie and Benoit return to Nitro. Flair done fucked up. A fan pushes Woman and there is no security to throw him out. The energy difference when Hulk isn't around is palpable from the announcers to the wrestlers to the crowd. Everyone seems so much more excited and happy to be there.

Nice. I'll watch these after. Have never really watched much lucha because i didn't know where to get it. I've sometimes enjoyed the lucha matches I've watched, and found it incredibly boring other times. Depends on the match, I think. Sometimes feels far too choreographed and like guys just trying to get their shit in.
Jesus. That tag title situation sounds dreadful, but I'll wait to see how it plays out. Sigh.
