SFV server 'maintenance' down-time is really starting to hack me off

That was a funny day. People were joking that the guy in charge of this was too busy playing overwatch

Normally I would 100% agree with you, it is ridiculous. Guild Wars 2 got an enormous update today, tons of fixes, new features, and new content with zero server downtime. But the existing SF5 servers are so terrible and have so many basic fundamental issues that it's possible they really do need a lot of work on the back end, and that could necessitate a lengthy maintenance period.

This excuse only works if the servers come up and things are a lot better, which probably won't be the case. But it is possible!

God dammit Capcom, knock this shit off. Take some of that costume money and fix whatever server/development deficiency that requires you to take your game offline for 8hrs at a time every time some new code needs to be deployed. The last time was just over a week ago. Who else is doing this?

I honestly have no idea why this happens. Never experienced anything like this with any other online game I've ever played.

You guys got to learn to live with it. For the next years you'll be thinking it was all worth it to have this game played at Winter Brawl 2016 where _________ won against ________ by doing ______

...I like the game too, most fun I've had with a fighting game and it's my most played game on Steam (mostly waiting for matches) but I'm not that delusional to think the game doesn't have some really big problems.

Count me surprised. I see you in every negative SFV thread and thought you actually hated the game.

I also really like SFV and wish there was another way for capcom to add content without taking down servers but unless someone going to fund the required infrastructure upfront, I don't see things changing. I feel sorry for anyone who's only game is SFV.

I don't hate SFV, I have 405 hours in the game. Plus that post was a few months ago, before all the rootkit business.

And I'm not going to the OT with negative posts because people in there get upset too easily.
