SHAZAM! FURY OF THE GODS - Official Trailer 2

I honestly thought this already came out. Really tired of supes at this point...

Uh ?

I expected the reception to be a bit better.
But I understand super hero fatigue, I feel it too. However I did enjoy the first Shazam, and this one looks pretty good too. I'll watch it.

Loved the first movie but the trailers for this one just aren't doing it for me. I hate the Marvel formula 3rd act where they get into a boring CG battle against the antagonist, and that's all these Shazam 2 trailers seem to have been so far. Meh.

I like trailers like these because it saves me the time of watching the two-hour movie.

Also - I wish trailers would fuck right off with that music.

"Startud frum da bottum now we hure", shut the fuck up bro.

I feel like I've just watched the entire movie already from that trailer.

And it's not a movie I'd wanna watch.

I binged all three seasons of The Boys a couple of months ago. I think it has completely soured me on Marvel and DC supes movies. They're all boring kids movies with the same tired jokes and the same fake as hell CGI action sequences that are just a bore to sit through. Avatar: The Way of Water was proof that it is possible to create gripping CGI action sequences, but Cameron knows how to shoot action movies and create CGI worlds you believe are real. Other movie directors just have no clue and it shows.

In the first Shazam movie. Crazy Magic Man tried to steal the shazam power.

In the second Shazam movie. Crazy magic people try to steal the shazam power.

But they have a dragon this time, so it different.

Yawn.

Maybe I'm suffering from superhero fatigue but these trailers do nothing for me. Not a god damn thing. Same with the Antman trailers. Nothing. Fuck all.

I'm in the same boat. Trailer did nothing for me and I'm honestly done with super hero movies.
Yeah, I've tapped out too. I know it's more a MCU thing but this time travel/multiverse business where 'hey, the person you thought was dead, isn't, surprise' just removes any stakes from the stories.

I thought Shazam was pretty bad.. and the ending with the "team" was so corny.

Levi was just bad to me, so one note.

I liked the first Shazam movie,I loved Man of Steel,Aquaman and Wonderwoman and Zack's JL,but DC is just a shell to me now and the superhero fatigue is REAL as not this nor Antman do anything for me,not even a bit excited.

All these have begun to look so samey and boring,it's all so formulaic.WB is about to go bankrupt since this new DCUniverse movie revision they're investing in is about to backfire badly after Marvel overflowed the market with the same formula superhero movies.

It's funny but the only interesting take in the superhero genre remains the darker more m rated shows and movies.Something DC would've had now had they had faith in their own shit instead of pursuing Marvel's joke every 1 min formula.

Seems like we're on to video game adaptations as the next big thing for a few years after The Last of Us's success and all the video game adaptations getting greenlighted.

WB really needs Zack Snyder because all they've done since he left has been one big drop in quality leading to movies no one gives a fuck about.
And Gunn won't save them, far from it.

Will wait for streaming services. First one was okay/good only because you thought the universe and the movies will all eventually lead up to something more amazing. They did not, and they will not. This looks just as generic as Black Adam.

Oh look they came to improve Philly mwhahahahahahahahaahhahahahahahahhhhaha

I kid I kid

But why yes.

Some people invade earth, super kids fight back. Win first round. Soon they all expect Shazam lose powers. Shazam crisis of confidence. Wants to bail. Learns meaning of why he is a hero defeats baddie's I guess his mates get powers back also.

Oh and queue pop culture jokes.

I don't know what to say about this one. :messenger_neutral: The story, to me, looks out of place for a sequel. :messenger_expressionless:

Oh wow that is funny.

On the movie: these villains, which I understand are two random gods, looks so dull and uninteresting. Captain Marvel / Shazam has such an eclectic rogue's gallery to choose from - such as the humorous but devilish Monster Society of Evil (the second version of the group was insane - it even included Adolph Hitler who could summon the entire Nazi army if he wanted). But no, they go with a few villains that look like the kind of random generic ones they'd create for the mostly terrible superhero movies of yesteryear.

Absolutely killed whatever interest I had in it.

Eh.

Didn't feel anything from that. I too liked Shazam, but I think I'm also just done with superheroes for a while.

I see this guy is next on the chopping block for a single tweet and liking Jordan Peterson.
Don't you dare question big pharma, even when big pharma is caught researching how to create a virus that killed millions. His Tweet had nothing to do with the vaccine at all.

Even if that the case he still name-dropped Jordan Peterson on Joe Rogan! That's a double Yikes! Obvious sarcasm. What a bunch of vultures.

First one was fun, but they really screwed up making BLACK ADAM it's own thing instead of introducing him as a villain in this and testing the waters for the character.

. . . will still see this one if it reviews well.
