Teleport to the Ginza terminal and take the southern exit. Afterwards, you will find yourself at the world map and an area directly in front of you. Go there.

(Post-Alignment lock spoilers incoming)

I finally managed to beat
Beelzebub
, although I tried getting something with Debilitate, I haven't ever had a demon with it so it's not in my searchable skills list. :/ Got Luster Candy and most of the -kaja and -kunda spells and managed to bet him after a couple of tries.

Buuut....
I'm still ranked #2 at the Hunter's association, so I still have to do the Tokyo Cosmos quest, and maybe the rest as well. Ugh.

The Beelzebub quest isn't required to get #1. Tokyo Cosmos is. As are the photo quests and Nozomi's quest line. I ended up totally at a loss after doing every quest I could find but it turned out I was missing the 4th photo quest, from someone in Yaesu pass near Ginza. So yeah, make sure you do those.

I think this is random.
I've been 1st, 10th, 16th, 3rd, 6th, 2nd, 1st in like the span of 10 minutes.

It's not. This has to do with the neutral path.

So don't want this game to end...

I'm only 12 hours in and I already have that sentiment, lol! RPGs don't come out like this anymore. This is living up to Nocturne for me so far (and surpassing it in some areas, but not all). Savoring it as much as I can!

Good news then!
That is the only big quest I have left. I've just been putting it off because I didn't want to have to run all over Tokyo finding the Devas. Looked it up and they're on the world map, which makes this easier.

Such overkill! Honestly, all I had to do to beat him was to debuff him fully and buff up fully in the first turn. Then his attacks couldn't kill me and I managed fine.

How is this possible? It would take 18 moves to fully buff and debuff. How is it even possible to get more than 4 in the first round if all you are doing is casting buffs.

Super Late Chaos spoilers (I think).
So I just did that 4 headed, 2 voiced angel.
Would that have been impossible without Almighty spells?

Oh, I didn't know there were multi buff or debuff spells. Thanks, I look forward to getting those!
Luster Candy is amazing.

Unfortunately the earliest you can get it is with a level 60 demon that has it as an innate skill. Unless you miraculously fuse a Jeanne D'arc at level 49 accidently, of course. Fortunately, Debilitate can be acquired earlier with Alice when she's level 51 (thanks again Dresden and Rhadamanthus!)

Well, you can get it earlier if you get lucky with the skill mutate app, too.

I haven't gotten anything good from skill mutate whatsoever.

My friend got -dyne skills really early using the app and I was shocked to say the least. I just keep getting low level skills.

Can anyone tell me how to get to Northern Shinjuku from the terminal? Every exit from the underground where the terminal is leads to the South, West, or East exit. There's literally no North exit. I am trying to get to post candle trial
the place where "true evil" lies.
Or the golden gai bar I think it is called.

Yep Alice is great. Got her to whisper deb and die for me. Now I got this move where its severe almighty plus deblitate. So I got it switched for luster candy :D

Just hit Shibuya and though the game has been extremely enjoyable I am a bit disappointed that there hasn't been one solid dungeon yet. The previous "dungeon" gave me some really strong Labyrinth of Amala vibes but it ended up just basically being a giant corridor. I do appreciate that a lot of the towns are dungeon like with lots of hidden areas but I need something I can't just blow through in a few minutes. I know it's a handheld title but it has quick save for a reason I imagine.

My guy is a bit OP at the moment with Arrow Rain. If a demon isn't resistant to bullets it's going down in a turn. Hopefully the difficulty ramps up soon.

Requesting a slight spoiler.

Looks like an NPC shows up after a certain time in the Hunters association and he seems to be giving hints on your alignment. What kind of description does he give for each alignment?

If you already went into the bar:
"True evil" lies near Northeast Roppongi on the world map
.

If you have yet to go to the bar:
Teleport to Shinjuku terminal and take the staircase near the Hunter's Association. From there, go to the area most North (?} which will take you at Golden Gai. You can check using your mapper. At Golden Gai, go to the Northeast corner of the map and you will find an alleyway. Go in there and a man will stop you.

Could use a nudge in the right direction at Ikebukuro:

Finished Xi Wangma off. Should I go back to the bookstore where I was told I needed an ID or some such?

Also, I did not expect Kaga going down that suddenly. :(

Thanks. I've never been to GGai. Hunter's Association is the place where you get quests right?

The path to the bookstore should no longer be blocked after defeating Xi Wangmu.

And I loved Kaga! It was so unfortunate to see her Navarre'd so early into the game.

Definitely locked in the Neutral path but now I'm stuck. For those in that path,
how do you get past the barrier in the Minotaur's lair within Naraku
?

Alright, Bad and Chaos endings achieved.
Now I just gotta rush through Law and do a proper Neutral play.

Are quest statuses carried into New Game+?

This is a brilliant OP.

Started this game two days ago and clocked 4 hours so far. Still early in the game, so far I'm only at
The Demon's Domain with a girl that keeps vanishing.

So far the game is quite brutal lol. Died quite a lot on the training trying to recruit my first demons. First time playing a main SMT game. Started with Persona 4 die to a recommendation from a friend. Ordered it off Amazon. After that, I bought Devil Survivor Overclocked which was a great game. Now I'm here for the first time in the main series and it makes the other games look like child's play lol. I love a challenge, so this is my type of game.

The GAF picked the perfect time to activate my account!

It might depend on your alignment (I'm Law), but
when you get back to your "world" Naraku is now filled with lvl 75+ demons. Haven't checked other areas (the ones that I have just have the same enemy demons) or new areas too much since I've been catching up with Challenge Quests.

Is there somewhere you can still recruit the low level trash mobs for fusion fodder? I really need to go back and at least compendium a few otherwise.

Do I have the wrong place?

The place I thought was the bookstore has a hunter telling me I need an ID. Where's the path to the bookstore?

I got agidyne before I got any second tier element spells. It was awesome. Still the only tier 3 spell I have.

I like that it tells you what it is mutating too, I never let it change in sj or p3.

I'm suffering region locking and I can't stop reading this thread.

I know how you feel
Welcome!

I had 40 hours into the game, had barely hit mid-near endgame (I haven't made any major "choices") and then my 3DS decided to brick itself on the first fight after I had fused a bunch of new high level demons. Life is so cruel.

Holy crap, that's a really unlucky thing to go through, hope Nintendo pulls ahead and gives you a replacement soon.

And those 40 hours are probably lost forever, which is a shame.

I need some help with a chaos route strategy
I'm fighting Aniel in the purgatorium and he's continually decimating my party with occult flash, I know he's weak(ish) to zan but I keep dying on that skill even at full health, level 71, am I underleveled? Is there an easy strategy?

I was lucky enough to be on the fringe of both Law and Neutral so I have both on my two saves. I don't want to finish Neutral just yet so I'm doing Law right now.

For those locked into Law,
Does it matter who I sacrifice to become a martry?

edit: nvm

You can reflect it with tetrakarn or attack mirrors.

Well I finally beat the game. This was my MC.

Rdk2RIp.jpg

Lvl 90.
St 42
Dx 39
Ma 355
Ag 150
Lu 50

Power 424 Gun 435

Skills
Bufudyne +8 (never found the severe damage version of the ice magic)
Trisagion +3
Deadly Wind +6
Thunder Reign +4
Salvation +1
Antichthon + 3 (game breaking, basically a megidolaon+ and Debilitate in one)
Doping
Luster Candy

Beat the game on the Neutral path. With the demons I had the final areas and bosses were a breeze.

Probably my favorite SMT overall. Outside of the awful beginning which felt cheap difficulty wise and the really lame dungeons (compared to the other game in the series) it was really a great game. Loved the new fusion tools and system. Probably the mainline SMT game with the best story presentation too. It's nice that many characters were important in the plot and the fact the samurai accompanied you really improve the presentation of the plot to me.

I loved how many sidequests were tied to the main plot and how they were resolved nicely in the end. The final quests of each branch felt satisfying. FINAL SIDEQUESTS SPOILERS
Nozomi becomes the leader of the Fairy, Navarre lost is memory/is insane and you escort him to the Florida bar because Samurai and demons and angels are after him, the king of Mikado summoned Baal/Belzeebub to fight the angels and became his slave. Becoming the hunters' champion and showing off around was really cool too.
.

Neutral path and ending were really great too. The New game plus options are pretty neat too.

This game is pretty good but I gotta take a break from playing it. Only thing I been doing lol

Right now though I feel like my demons suck. Like what should I be aiming for in that regard? I usually treat my demons like they're weapons so I get the best one that can handle the boss the best then move on if need be. Also try to get one that whispers good skills to my MC.
