Same boat here... I have yet to get a shipping notice, but I've been charged, which only happens once the order ships.

You might want to check and see if you've been charged or not yet, that's the main telling factor.

Edit: and of course, a minute after posting, I get an email from Amazon! ^_^

Reading the reviews, maybe it's time to change the world map from it's classic appearance to something...more modern, I guess? Reviewers keep docking points for it.

Not sure how many people fit all these categories:

- were on the fence about this game
- rely solely on Gamespot for reviews
- consider 8 to be a bad score

I'm sure those 3 people are going to be missing out.

Last night I switched from paying $8 for 2-day shipping to free super saver shipping (couldn't justify paying $58 for a 3DS game).

It just shipped an hour ago, and it says delivery estimate is Wednesday July 17. However, the starting point is in Washington (state), and I live in IL. Something's wrong.

All I'm gonna be thinking tomorrow during my 2 hour college tour is "I cannot wait to finish this so I can go to GS & pick my copy up". At least I'll be done around the time they get their shipment of games.

& I assume nobody wants to trade a GS pre-order outfit for an Amazon one?....nobody?

Haven't seen my Amazon email yet, but just went to the website and it's listed as 'Shipping Now' so I'm certain that my order email will pop up in a few hours.

I heard people are selling the Amazon DLC code on eBay for $15-$20. Question...why would anyone pay that much instead of just pre ordering on Amazon right now? Am I missing something?

I doubt that will last long, but I hope the bubble remains. Not like I need even more reasons to buy this game.

I'm within the last three hours or so of Persona 4. Life is pretty good.

I could have had this game in my hands right now if I had done the smart thing, cancelled my eb preorder and switched to future shop during the E3 promotion.

I am considering buying SMT IV because of the recent $30 digital rebate for buying this game, along with having FE Awakening. I plan to buy AA5, which is mandatory digital. So what about this game is causing so much hype? Does it have a quality story like the Persona games (yes I know these two franchises are not connected to one another)? I also never really touched a dungeon crawler game before.

I am also scared of this franchise; I know SMT is a super difficult franchise.

It seems to be a fucking amazing RPG.

As for the story, yeah, it should be pretty story focused. Expect it to be more serious than what you see in persona too.

If you can beat the Persona games in medium difficulty, I think you'll be okay in IV. There's even an easy mode that triggers after you die two times, so you can play on that so you can enjoy the story and atmosphere and not worry too much about dying in every encounter.

It's not hard. As long as you read the text and fuse you'll be fine.

Most mistakes are from people trying to just use attack over and over.

The stories are good but are presented in a different way than Persona and isn't as character-driven. But besides that the press turn battle system is great, music is as awesome or better than Persona. "Dungeon crawler" here just means the focus is on the dungeons and battles, that's all, but SMT IV looks to have more story than Nocturne and the other main SMT games.

Also no SMT is not super difficult.

Goby, these reviews are nothing short of phenomenal for a core SMT game, especially considering that Innocent Sin got comparatively reamed by reviewers.

8 from Gamespot is a pretty great score actually. Skyward Sword got a 7.5 and so did Pokémon Black/White. Not that I care too much what Gamespot gives it, but an 8 is hardly a marker of a bad game. I know it was just a troll post, though.

Besides that, the dopes at GameSpot have underrated every single 3DS game on existence, so if the game got an 8, in reality SMT IV should be a 9 or more than that ;)
