friggin RARE.

How the fuck does Rare get away with shit like this? Them and silicon knights haven't released SHIT this gen compared to other companies.

I don't understand.

It's a REMAKE. They've DONE IT BEFORE. Why the fuck is it taking so fucking long? I know that it's Rare, but this is crazy for them.

Maybe they should change the title too:

Conker: Live! and who gives a shit anymore because we can't get a title out in a decent amount of time even though this is merely a remake

Lets hope Rare has something big up their sleeve for next-gen like they did when they stopped making games for a while back in the SNES days and came back with Donkey Kong Country. Otherwise, the industry has lost a centre of talent and I just don't know where the talent has gone. Only Zoonami* can top Rare in terms of getting away with not releasing anything.

*Edit: To be fair though, Zoonami only has 7 employees, whereas Rare has hundreds and is still constantly printing recruiting ads in Edge.

I *honestly* can't see how Rare manages to do this. I just don't get why they take so long with stuff that wouldn't occupy other developers for more than 12 months! Really, what is up with them? I mean, FFS, most of the actual game was already there from the N64 version! Adding a multiplayer mode should not take this long...

One could extrapolate from this to guesstimate the length of time Xbox2 games will take for Rare ::shudder::

I'm sure they're doing this do balance the first party output throughout the summer, but eitherway they need to stop with the bullshit. Either don't say a release date at all or match the release date. MS has totally shifter their first party strategy since Kim took charge, it will be some years until we see if his strategy is going to work or not (less titles, but epic and big ones with high production budgets).

:lol :lol :lol

I suspect Rare guys found out where the Duke Nukem Forever guys got their cardboard sit-ins to the office and left to Hawaji sometime in 2003.

Jesus Christ, Rare and 3D Realms should have a procrastination-a-thon. The losers would have their offices set on fire and the winners would all be fired.

well no, since they've probably been working on their xbox2 games for 2+ years already. so it wont seem as long for them to get them out. uh, in theory.

BACK OFF, BITCHES!

Could it be that Microsoft prefers to stagger their "major" remaining Xbox releases for the remainder of its lifetime? *ding* *ding* *ding*

Considering Rare's history, I'm sure that is the most likely scenario!

That's the funny thing. CBFD bombed because it was released so late. And the whole idea behind this remake was to make more people play it. But guess what, it will go the same way!

It's a very comprehensive remake, see. They're remaking all the delays and revisions that the original game had.

Perhaps it is forever Conker's destiny to be released at the end of a console lifecycle.

I've been a Rare bitch for a long, long time but this needs to come to an end. They better deliver some quality at the begining of the next gen or things will go nasty with the fanbase they managed to keep after the Nintendo split.

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice...

Yep.

400k is the number to break for Conker L&R, and it will have far less time to do so than BFD did.

Something about reading "THEY'VE DONE IT BEFORE!!" makes me laugh.

Yeah, that must be it!

Kameo: Elements of Power keeps shifting around too.

God, is this going to be the 3rd or 4th time they show these games at E3?

What's up with KLOBB and his Rare friends?

I dug the multiplayer demo at E3, but the single-player "Saving Private Ryan" spoof on the OXM disc was pretty clunky. I hope the extra time sorts that out.

Microsoft should frankly be pissed about these developments. Rare seems to be in serious need of changes within management--it shouldn't take this long to get familiar with the hardware or to design a game that is essentially a remake.

MS needs to step in like Nintendo did with Retro, otherwise they would be better off giving the money to charity. An insider's view of Rare after the debacle would be pretty interesting. :lol

they seem fine with the hardware to me.. GBTG ran fine (and looks great, too), and the conker demo runs and looks great.

I mean bash them for their lateness, sure, but I have no doubt that they are competent with the hardware.

If you listen very carefully, you can hear a bunch of Nintendo executives laughing uncontrollably

How about one of us that is going to E3 go by MS's booth, try out Conker and tell them "I can't wait to try it out again here next year."

Kameo gets shelved.

Conker gets delayed again.

Constant rumors about Perfect Dark Zero for Xbox 2 launch.

Perhaps focus for the entire company has shifted on Perfect Dark Zero to make sure it is out by Xbox 2 launch.

I was just throwing out a somewhat common excuse. It's obvious that they are not being ran well.
