I'm a grad student with class on Tuesday nights, so I miss Smackdown, but I might have to re-up my Hulu sub for this. The stories are infinitely more compelling than RAW. As someone with the misfortune of being a Dolph Ziggler fan, this whole career v title thing has me nervous as hell.

Ziggy still has fans?

Ziggy still has fans?

Smarks have grown disinterested in him but he still puts on consistently good (not great, but good) matches. I think he's had a pretty strong few months but apparently the very people who were pining for a push are now sick and tired of him.

Holy shit that Miz/Ziggy segment was so good.

If Ziggler loses, SD is the best forever, I'm sorry.

And I actually don't mind Ziggler, it would just show how much more balls the show has than RAW.

Byron is a strange case because he seems to have taken over the worst parts of Michael Cole's role in the announce booth.

He is now the one who would tell you how great Fandangoing is. If you took him out Cole would be back to doing all of that stuff.

I am so happy I was wrong about Heath, his hot tag offense was fantastic. I thought he was going to be completely useless with Rhyno picking up all of the slack.

Truth: I'd still take Byron over Otunga. At least Byron has come in strides compared to the WM31 shitfest AND has good chemstry with Corey.

Otunga? Christ, it's actually come to the point where I'm starting to like JBL because he's not as banal as he was on Raw. :/

So I was talking to my buddy about Raw earlier and he reminded me that Drew Galek was in Championship Wrestling from Hollywood. He was tag team partners with Timothy Thatcher. lol I totally forgot about that.

So No Mercy is this right now:

They are also working on Carmella vs Nikki and Baron vs Swagger.

It's the only real qualm with SmackDown

The roster is kind of super thin. I mean No Mercy is essentially Backlash with Cena in the main event.

And they have almost run through all configurations of the Women. Granted, I guess they can do more grand feuds with them.

I just watched Ambrose vs Styles on Smackdown and I can say that this match was so much better than the one in Backlash, which is a shame considering the ending of tonight.

Now I'm gonna watch Talking Smack and expecting a good show as always.

Will have to catch up on Smackdown tomorrow.

It was a mistake listening to the Survivor Series 2002 episode of The Lapsed Fan on the subway today, was laughing like an idiot. Holy fuck, the ridiculous Davey Boy Smith impression of him smoking crack before SummerSlam 92' and telling Bret (Mistah Hitmahn) that he's FOOKED.

Also the story of that guy meeting him as a kid, and Davey just telling him to get the fook away from him. Davey and some other wrestlers accidentally walked into a casino that their hotel was in and were trying to get out.

Davey - "WHERE'S THE FOOKIN EXIT!?"

Lex - "I don't know!"

Davey - "FOOK!"

They need some callups for sure. But im still invested in almost all of those matches, versus like one at CoC

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
You guys do realize whenever Orton finishes with Bray he is going to take the title off of AJ right

Holy shit at Raw's rating and viewership this week.

scored a 1.75 TV rating, down 11 percent from last week’s show.

The previous standard-week, low-point for Raw was a 1.8 back in October 1996. However, there was a Christmas Week episode on December 23, 1996 that scored a 1.5 rating to set the all-time low-point.

– Raw’s three hours averaged 2.478 million viewers, down eight percent (about 206,000 viewers) from last week.

It was the least-watched show of the year, but the first hour helped the show avoid falling completely off the table.

First Hour: 2.850 million viewers, the most since Labor Day
Second Hour: 2.381 million viewers, down about 300,000 viewers from last week
Third Hour: 2.203 million viewers, down about 430,000 viewers from last week
The third hour of Raw was likely one of the least-watched hours in the history of the show. It also continued the streak of Raw’s third hour declining from the second hour for the 28th consecutive week.

– DEMOGRAPHICS: Raw fell big among the key demos, as expected. However, adults 18-49 seemed to fare reasonably well considering the competition.

Adults 18-49 was down 10 percent from last week
Males 18-34 was down 18 percent
Males 18-49 was down 14 percent
– Meanwhile, ESPN’s Monday Night Football game fell by 33 percent to only 8.0 million viewers after drawing 12.1 million viewers last week.

ESPN put on perhaps the least-marquee match-up of the season with a regionally-focused game of Atlanta at New Orleans.

MNF had more room to fall compared to Raw, but Raw’s viewership falling 8-11 percent does not seem as bad as predicted against the most-watched debate in U.S. TV history.

Ironically, I really want to watch the first episode that gets lower than that.

Smackdown is still much better than Raw.

One of the best episodes of Smackdown since the brand split.

That Miz and Ziggler promo was fantastic.

I wish we had Cesaro on Smackdown.

Blue make that call Dammit!!
Didn't you see Bryan put out the pitch yesterday? We're in the first stage. Ziggler for Cesaro. Fuck, a nice tofu plate for Ziggler.

Blue's too busy trying to get his boy Enzo to worry about that.
I hate that squashable little bug

I can picture Blue watching a Raw episode from 2003 right before he says "I do"
2003.....
