You have a lot of cool shit regs. Not trying to knock you but you should defiantly check into getting a interior decorator. My buddies wife is one and she came over and helped me and my wife redesign our home. I feel its one of the best things we have done to our house. We were able to get rid of a lot of stuff we didn't need and invest in some great quality items we we now cherish.

what if he already hired one and this is the way it turned out? did you consider that possibility?

lol

cool place regs, not my style but I can't hate

I've always wanted to start up an aquarium again but the upkeep turns me off.

I used to have a huge tropical aquarium which looked fantastic, but the weekly cleaning and monthly water changes became a real chore. The monthly one would take the best part of a day, and I used to dread it. When I moved house I sold the whole lot and made a promise to myself never to keep fish again, forgetting that the new house has a large koi pond that needs similar upkeep.

You sound like you've kept fish before so you know what's involved, but a lot of people take them on not realising that you need to be a real enthusiast to look after them properly.

EDIT: Ha! Just found a photo of my old gaming set-up at my last place, kind of. Sold the full-size Mr Bubbles to a collector when I moved house (Victorian house, high ceilings - he's 7' tall). Turned a fat profit but still regret it to this day.
(LOL - the walls were actually a subtle mustard colour, not lime green like they appear in that crappy phone pic)

Most gaming is now done up here (a work in progress):

Big Daddy is awesome!

Yeah, I miss him. Got more space in my new place too. Was crazy to sell.

He was a proper Studio Oxmox mannequin, the one shown in these photos. Beautifully made.

Whether it be through dual booting, or just firing up steam, this is where the gaming is done.
iMac, Macbook Pro, Razer Black Widow Ultimate, and soon to be Razer Deathadder as well.

Man, I gave the Black Widow two chances and both of them were defective so I just ordered my Das Keyboard today. How is your Black Widow holding up?

I actually just got it today! I heard some have weird issues like space bars being stuck, but I have yet to find an issue with mine. So far, so good.

What is wrong with the ones you have got?

That looks like Andy from Weeds to me for some reason

Have any of you had any luck with a wireless transmitter for rear speakers? I flipped my room around, and the only feasible solution to get my rears wired involves taperwire and painting. I really hate painting, so I was thinking about buying the Rocketfish wireless kit. I have power back there, so that's not an issue.

I'm an old hand at pulling cable, so trust me when I say it's really not feasible in this case. Thanks!

That looks great, keyboard seems a little out of place though. Post the rest of your place! :3

Thanks!

But I agree, the Keyboard has a Gaming Vibe while everything else looks more design related.

I am holding off on posting the rest, since we are moving to a bigger better place.

Looks like it would hurt my neck playing like that. I have my tv setup next to my desk similar to your style, but my tv is about desk height. No neck strain.

Gonna ask again cuz no one replied a few days ago, for all the couch-pc gamers/htpc users, any suggestions for wireless keyboard and mouse to use?

Nah, I have a futon behind me for when I want to put something on there I just sit back. I can look up at it without having to move my neck anyways, I can lean back in my chair, or just look up since its tilted right down on me. I may move the desk back depending on how I find myself using it.

Not sure about wireless accessories yet. Going to go looking this weekend, and maybe pic up a few games, as well as a new chair

id take it he sits back a bit lol also have a 32in tv along with the monitor. Some reason; it doesn't feel right playing my fps games on the tv though.

Found out something interesting last night while removing the Playseat pedal plate to fit my new Clubsports: the small bolts that hold the plate in place are also the ones that lock the TV stand in place, stopping it toppling fowards and smashing the TV into the steering wheel, demolishing them both. I noticed this with one single turn of thread left on the last bolt.

Disaster was averted, but more by luck than judgement.

What a clever design. And by clever, I mean fucking idiotic.

Be warned, people with similar set-ups.

IIRC, from the last setup or purchase thread, he explained that he got a job in a music studio as an assistant or something and the manager guy there just left for some reason; they needed someone to fill his spot and regs was the only one who knew what to do, so he filled in, did a better job than the previous guy and things just clicked into place from there.

Basically, regs is the perfect example of "right place, right time" if I've ever seen one.

Time to find a music studio assistant gig.

I just built some floating shelves to frame my television with:

I'm still not really sure how I want to decorate them yet so I just kind of threw some random crap on them, I dunno:

I'm looking into buying/building some stereo speakers but unfortunately the shelves are fairly shallow at 7 1/4", if anyone has any recommendations I'd love to hear 'em.

Here is mine. I have been at this apartment for just over a year and not a lot has changed since I moved in. I bought ALL the furniture new, and I am particularly fond of the Couch and Entertainment unit.

I have a separate TV PC areas... they're two feet apart.

And while the OP has a nearly unbeatable view, I like my view of my favourite city on earth, that's Sydney by the way.

Studied abroad in Sydney. Miss that city every day. Very jealous. (even if you've gotta be paying out of your ass for rent!)
