Work in progress. No cinema paint, acoustic paneling, light control or sound system setup yet. Not bad considering...

With a 16x9 image, I'm getting 178" give or take an inch

Won't work because the bed has a back piece and it would look terrible if it's not against a wall. I would rather not move the stuff around. Would a long hdmi cable work if I make it go out through the window and in through the door?

Haha I wouldn't do that. Also I meant put the bed against the wall. The bed is essentially in the middle of the room. Like this:

It would still be against the wall. I would change your image but my computer sketching skills are shit.

Custom built PC
HP LP2475w 24" LCD
Lian Li PC-K7B w/ PC Power and Cooling Silencer 650W
Intel Core2Quad Q9550, overclocked to 3.4GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
ATi Radeon HD5870 1GB
1x300GB WD Raptor
1x1TB WD Black
Logitech Z-560 speakers
Logitech MX518 Mouse
Microsoft Natural Keyboard

Custom built WHS
Lian Li PC-Q07 w/ Antec Green 500W
Intel i3-550
4GB DDR3 RAM
1xSeagate Momentus XT 500GB
1xWD Green 1TB
1xWD Green 2TB

Everything in the house is piped through a 30/30Mbps FiOS connection.

Thinking of adding a second 24" to the PC, but I barely use it as it. I also need to do something about the KURO's chicken legs, but the dude I bought it from on eBay didn't have the speaker bar - despite the TV having zero hours on it. *shrug*

I've also got a few laptops, DSes, GBAs, and an iPad and HP TouchPad kicking around here somewhere. I actually do most of my PC gaming at work these days, but I've been spending more and more time playing games on PC lately, minus the occasional console exclusive (currently Gears of War 3). I've actually got a super crappy LG 50" 720p plasma set up on the fireplace next to the KURO for some Gears3 co-op for this week and next, but that TV is usually just in the garage collecting dust. With RAGE and Battlefield 3 coming shortly though, I'll be spending more time PC gaming for sure.

I love this set-up, props man.

Contemplating doing a before and after but my stuff is across different rooms right now so and not set up properly because I am in the process of changing rooms so I dunno

I am not sure this is the right thread, but any opinions on those "Sound Bars?" The ones that come with a woofer and are supposed to simulate full surround? There is a Polk Audio one at my local HHGregg for like 60% off and I am just curious if it is worth it.

I bought a Samsung sound bar with wireless subwoofer for my man cave. While it sounds much better than just using the TV speakers it doesn't compare to a full surround system or even my PX5 7.1 headphones for that matter.

I don't have the money to buy half the things itt, especially the chairs and tables. I have the consoles but none of the setups. Don't care about using old stuff my pc is from 2008 and older

Never been to ikea or anything but I would like to.

dont worry. as you get older you acquire shit over time. my house has lots of nice things in bit but im 30 now and ive had my own place for about 6 years...over time you accumulate little bits and pieces you like. there are still things in my house that i need to upgrade (Nicer TV for one) but that will happen when it happens.

Nice. What type of projector? Is that a SNES hooked up, an emulator, or wii/virtual console? Looks pretty sharp.

Thanks! Bought the house last year and in exchange for letting my wife do all the decorating and choosing the paint colors I got to finally do the office and living room I've wanted.

Thinking of combining the guest room and office and making a proper theater room in a few years...

I finally managed to hook up my old hi-fi to my ps3 and tv and I'm quite pleased with the result.
I'll consider buying a couple of speaker stands. Is there a website where I can find something about that, maybe also with prices?

Crappy cellphone pics, obviously:

No major changes to my theater in the basement, but my upstairs "retro room" is doing well. All consoles, aside from N64, are run through component with the more retro machines all using SCART to component transcoding and a SCART switcher. Using a couple M-Audio speakers for sound along with an old Onkyo sub-woofer for a bit of extra bass when desired. I've had a lot of fun setting this up and playing these old games!

The last order of business is repainting all of the in wall shelving to match the rest of the room. It's very convenient, however, as those drawers neatly store a lot of games and equipment (video cables, power cables, controllers, etc).

The bottom pic was actually a bit older and taken with an iPhone4 while the top pictures were taken with a 4s. Both in the same lighting. Very different results.

Nice retro collection... particularly the PC games. Brings me back to a simpler time when Shogo: Mobile Armor Division was something truly spectacular.

Makes me wish I kept all my old stuff from being younger instead of selling it for next to nothing

Off topic but I ride BMX as well...Looks like a rather chill setting

I just sold my bike, my core riding group faded (2 people moved away and 2 people stopped because of moving away to school, I went away as well to the same as 1 of them, but then moved back home this year) and it ended it for me

it was a sunday ian shwartz w/ hollowbites, 7ka's to gsport ratchet & marmosets, slams, profile stem, ody race forks, miss it, I am hoping to get back into biking but not BMX, I always liked downhill way more hoping to get in it when I am done school and can afford a nice dh bike.

Edit:

And to the Forza Setup responses, thanks, and hopefully I will have in permanently set up how I want it in the coming months.

Nice choice with the frame! I am still using the same one (white). My core group of friends stopped riding too, but I've been going along without them. It helps that I got a new job in the city. There's a skatepark right down the street. So I have a place to ride this winter!

Totally pumped for that!

I'm going to be a little vague here, but I hope someone can help me out. Right now, my custom built desktop PC is on the floor. I don't want it to be on the floor, however. :) I'm looking for a small black platform on which to put my desktop on, preferably something that isn't too high off the ground. If anyone has seen anything similar online let me know. I didn't know where else to post this, but a gaming set up thread seemed like the logical place.
