I really hope so. I think the Silent Hills cancellation is one of the biggest missed opportunities out there. I remember the rave about PT when it first dropped, and the surprise of Norman Reedus at the end. It had so much promise. I enjoyed Death Stranding, but I'll be honest when I say I was thinking about Silent Hills a lot and what could have been.
There has been games like Visage that have done a decent job of capturing that atmosphere & feel, but it's not quite the same. I just feel ready for a new Silent Hill entry, with Resident Evil seeing such a resurgence.

In interviews he still appreciated every opportunity that Konami gave him in the past. So he still has respect for them, he just wished things didn't go the way they did. Which, I mean, who can blame him? It was shitty.
If the offer's big enough, the apology is big enough, etc. I, too, had a hard time believing it, but I feel like there are multiple scenarios where the possibility doesn't seem as far fetched as it may seem. Also depends on how much he'd be involved, etc.
I've been wondering the same with the rumored Metal Gear Solid Bluepoint remake. If he'd be involved at all, even in the slightest way.

Has there been any shift in the leadership/key personnel at Konami? I have no clue myself, but this combined with the right mediator combined with massive public interest and of course $$$$$ could definitely get the ball rolling again.

Team Silent has been disbanded for years... Konami has been mismanaging their franchises for years. Kojima tried something with P.T, but the whole thing felt apart and now Konami is so salty they can't even allow people to download the demo they have on their accounts or play it on PS5... Why would they suddently decide to give away their IPs ?
There's already strong evidence that Kojima is working on a new horror game. It'll probably end up being really close to what P.T was, with people like Guillermo Del Toro, Norman Reedus and Jinjo Ito being involved like they would have been on P.T anyway. Does it really have to take place in the foggy town of Silent Hill ? P.T was about ghosts anyway , not big bloated flesh monsters like in Silent Hill, it didn't have a town, no fog, and it was a great horror teaser.
So yeah, just like MGS and Castlevania, I think it's best to move on and accept those two franchises are pretty much past their prime, and play the new generation of games (like bloodstained) instead of asking for Konami to "do the right thing" and not mishandle their franchises into other trashy Pachinko machines.

If this does happen one day I'd have to question why? the franchise isn't popular enough to spend the money to make it exclusive to PS5, they'd be better off spending the money on a new IP IMO.
