I must admit this gif made me start watching the show. I had never heard of it before and loved every bit of it.
Amid the precision-tooled dick jokes and the airtight comedies of errors, Silicon Valley cuts the compelling tale of a creator forging his own path through a frontier where every other maverick is a charlatanor worse, some fucking asshole.

- South China Morning Post: Q&A: Silicon Valley cast and crew on the evolution of the nerdWith each season, my appreciation for "Silicon Valley" grows. The episodes that HBO made available for review are as smartly crafted and hilarious as ever, and it continues to be a blast to watch the show's cohesive cast play off one another.
- Collider review:BOTTOM LINE Giving business the business is outrageous fun.

What continues to be so impressive about the show is how it investigates the nuances of dull business dealings in a way that feels emotionally urgent. Maybe its a connection to the universal contempt (and yet, universal use) of corporate buzzspeak, or the crushing soullessness of cubicle culture and as this season so brilliantly puts it thinking inside the box that makes the journey the lads of Pied Piper face so compelling. Its a new spin on cringe comedy that sets grim realities in a candy-colored world (with artisanal lunch menus, neon billiards tables, and bean bag chairs meant to entice employees into working their lives away).
5 stars - Excellent
The Bottom Line: As brilliant as ever (though it could use some women).
Silicon Valley, then, may end up being recognized as Judge's magnum opus in this sensea complicated, heartfelt, and intensely uproarious articulation of the struggle to freely realize one's creative yearnings, whether in business, technology, or art.
From the trailer,I'm surprised to see Bighead apparently back with Pied Piper. The last episode of S2 sort of implied he was being groomed to take over Gavin Belson's spot at Hooli (although maybe he does and just gets fired right away).
Rewatching the episode "Homicide" from last season and this has both the Blaine SWOT board and the Hooli phone panel.
The high-IQ ensemble cracks the code with rapid-fire jokes on geek culture and frantic tension, striking a balance that continues to make the show a gutsy look at how success requires failing again... and again... and again.
Grade A-
The first season of Mike Judges Silicon Valley was amusing. Season two was better written and funnier. Now, with season three, which starts on Sunday night, the comedy has become even more tightly written and dependably entertaining.
FYI, the show was renewed for another season yesterday. Don't believe that was posted in this thread yet.
Also they bring Carla back in ep3 (the girl programmer in S2) but only for a minute, which was another of the plot points that bothered me. I'd definitely be happy if she comes back in a more stable role.
