Dl'n, its a 268 MB file, I guess it decompresses to 12 GB ?

I believe the 268mb file is just the simcity client launcher. Once that's downloaded through origin, the rest of the game is downloaded through simcity's launcher.

Did you actually get an error, or did it just stick on a percent forever? I've been at 15% for a while.

It was stuck for a while at 20% then the error message appeared, thankfully it resumes close to where it left off.

So they are already advertising DLC? I don't expect them to actually implement modding capabilities if that is the case.

Any game with an active userbase is very likely to buy *some* DLC, so it's not likely that they would suddenly stop selling or pushing DLC until the game is much less active -- at which point, would they release modding abilities or simply shut the servers down?

Since it's EA, it's very likely that they will just shut the servers off -- but hopefully Maxis stands up for the game, and implements modding.
