The way it's spelled in Japanese, it is pronounced the same way as you describe ("Fai," ファイ).
 
considering there is no voice acting it doesn't really matter, in my head it always sounded like fee so thats what i will read it as, each to there own, unless there is rhyming i can't see how or why it matters :p

i'm one of those people who thinking voice acting should stay away from zelda, imagination contributes a whole lot to how much i enjoy the game, i think its why i enjoyed ff7,8,9 so much too. that and the vast majority of voice acting is complete garbage in video games with a few exceptions
 
I watched the 5 minute overview trailer and had my mind blown. Where can I find other videos that show a lot of gameplay like that? I just went from "new-zelda, I'll have to check it out eventually", to "holy shit this looks like a magical experience in the same leage as my first playthrough of OoT".
 
Glad to see the great reviews!

I think the "Best Zelda" talk is a matter of opinion. We won't know how the majority of people feel until after they have played it.

The fact that some people believe it is the best is intriguing.

How much does it spoil? I've been wathing these same gameplay videos over and over agan and I'm craving for more, I just don't want to be excessively spoiled.

It shows a good deal of characters and locations, ,many game mechanics, and some enemies. If you're trying to go in fresh you definitely don't want to watch. Personally I've never cared much about spoilers or "blackouts" if anything this stuff gets me more excited.

8.8 is a fantastic score. but the way those fucking morons piled on Jeff was disgraceful (pardon my french)

at the end of the day not everyone will like the same things i do and games aren't perfect. it helps me as a consumer to know what negative aspects of a game there are as well as positive ones

jeff may not have the most flamboyant writing style but he's good at5 picking things apart and i'd like to hear what he has to say about the game at the very least

Buy a house with a separate garage with an apartment above it.
Rent it out to someone who then buys a Wii.
Go into said apartment while they're at work.
Steal the Wii, blame it on their brother.

1. Pick it up at Wal Mart 6AM.
2. Play from 6AM until I'm done the game.

1. Go at Gamestop whenever the hell it's opening (I wonder if they'll do a midnight opening for this one).
2. Go back and play until I'm done 100%.
3. Unload EVERYTHING.

You left out the part where you have to take breaks to due constant frothing and seizures of joy. Or maybe that's just me.

1) Pick it up at Gamestop's midnight release. (There better one.)
2) Play it until I can't focus.
3) Go to sleep.
4) Wake up and play the game all day long.
5) Somehow squeeze in studying for two upcoming tests. (CS on Monday, Calc II on Tuesday)
 
1. Go to school.
2. After school, take the bus from town all the way to Gamestop.
3. Go to the gym.
4. Play the game.

I really don't want to go to the gym that day, lol.

1. Hopefully they'll break the streetdate on the 17th
2. Get it together with Mario 3D Land
3. Look at the title screen
4. Work the evening shift
5. I'll come home around 11:30 PM, play a little bit and go to bed.

Hope they'll allow me to pick up the game on the 17th.
Go right to the shop where I've pre-ordered it from my uni.
Indulge in sweet Zelda goodness.
Skip classes on Friday to overdose Zelda and die happily.
 
Launch day plan is easy...

Wake up on the 17th, find 3D Land and SS on the doorstep.

Play Zelda tutorial, then play Mario World 1.

Then play more SS, then more 3DL.

And the cycle continues.
 
My plan is to wait for amazon uk to send me the package and hope to be there when the delivery guy come to my house >.>

I'll play Mario Land while waiting :P

Get the game when gamestop opens around 10AM, and play all day.
