So I finally listened to some of "Into the Woods" today. Definitely one of the best albums to come out this year. "Wilderness" is an awesome song, and I love this band now. Please fellow indie gaffers, tell me what songs/albums by this band to listen to next. I'm hooked.

Their lead has to be the most talented female rock singer I've heard since Fiona Apple.

This poster pulses with an appeal so broad the typical restraints of our societies fall by the wayside.
Dig Me Out is my favorite record by them, specifically "Words and Guitar" and "Dance Song '97". All Hands on the Bad One is good too, specifically "The Professional" and the title track. They haven't really put out a bad record, though, so just listen to whatever.

Yeah the Woods is fantastic.

All Hands on the Bad one and One Beat rawk as well. Dig Me Out is good shit too.. they're amazing. I'm seeing them live on the 21st of June. \m/

Songs:

"Oh!"
"I Wanna Be Yr. Joey Ramone"
"All Hands on the Bad One"
"One More Hour"
"Hot Rock"
"Stay WHere You Are"

How long have they been a band?
Wow, almost a decade now. *feels old*

Ahem, whatever you do, go see them live. For as good as they are on record, live they're just incredible. I've seen them a few times and just got to catch them at a tiny club show in New York a couple months ago.

Go check out their cover of "More Than a Feeling" by Boston. It's rough, brilliant and anthemic.

Formed in '94, and their debut came out in '95, but the girls were involved with other bands in the whole Riot Grrrl movement -- Heavens to Betsy, Excuse 17.

Fantastic band.

I haven't listened to The Woods that much yet, but my favorite is a toss up between All Hands on the Bad One and One Beat. They're a damned consistend band, though -- every one of their albums is pretty great. They're last 2-3 albums have gotten considerably more attention than their previous albums, so there's a good number of 'leet old-skool fans out there, but don't drink the tang. Their newer stuff is just as good as their older stuff.

It's called The Woods, and it is pretty good. They did a really good job choosing "Entertain" as the first single because that song just fucking rules.

One Beat has a really gross war protest song, but "Oh" is such an awesome song. Listen to that next.

I like All Hands on the Bad One a lot. But I sort of just love it because I like the name, and the title track is really awesome.

Then duders, register at RP and upload your favorite SFA songs. I'll keep an eye out for them and give them a thumbs up if I see one...

I just did. It said I wasn't allowed to upload songs or something.

So you're saying that those losers are rejecting S-K songs? Lame.

Pretty cool site, though. Thanks for pointing me to it.

Yeah, they're reallllly behind on uploads but it'll be back to normal in a few days.
Good luck - they are EXTREMELY PICKY.

I've uploaded songs that have had ratings like 10/0, 22/4, 12/3, etc. and they have been rejected!
