I tried this out yesterday. I found it surprisingly fun. My only beef was with how slow Conquest felt. I'm sure I'll be playing a bit more this weekend to see how I like it.
 
looks like they hit a snag with vulcan releasing him next week but bart said theyll release the next god a week after vulcan to stay on schedule

Anyway, I like how they changed Xbal's passive. Not too crazy about the Rising Jaguar nerf but it isn't a huge deal.

Draft mode will be my jam. So tired of mirror matches. Or even any game with an opposing Xbal. They always use their ult when I use mine. I just picture them going "lululuoluouluouluoll." It's dumb.

And apparently, if you reach level 30 before the game's official release, you can get a free Ymir skin.

Since I'm really awful at this game and get way too nervous playing it to properly enjoy it, anyone want to grind my account up to 30? I can hook you up with some gems or something lol.

New God: Vulcan

Passive (FORGE): Vulcan transfers 30% of his protections and 15% of his health to his turrets. In addition, when Vulcan is within 30ft of his own deployables they regen 3% of their health every second because of their proximity to the Forge.

BACKFIRE: Vulcan blasts a fireball out of his Forge, dealing 85/145/205/265/325 (+70% of your magical power) magical damage to all enemies in its path. The strength of the blast also knocks Vulcan 20ft back. Cost - 65/70/75/80/85 mana. Cooldown - 15s.

INFERNO CANNON: Vulcan constructs an Inferno Cannon that shoots fireballs in a cone that deal 65/100/135/170/205 (+20% of your magical power) magical damage to the target every second. The Inferno Cannon lasts until destroyed or another is placed. This inherits Vulcan’s penetrations but does not apply on-hit effects. Cost - 65/70/75/80/85 Mana. Cooldown - 15s.

THUMPER XVI: Vulcan constructs a Thumper XVI that deals 15/20/25/30/35 (+10% of your magical power) magical damage every second and slows enemies hit by 5/10/15/20/25%, increasing with Focus up to 35%, for 2s. The Thumper XVI lasts until destroyed or another is placed. This inherits Vulcan’s penetrations but does not apply on-hit effects. Cost - 70/75/80/85/90 Mana. Cooldown - 15s.

VOLCANIC OVERDRIVE: When Volcanic Overdrive is activated, Vulcan gains 15/20/25/30/35% movement speed and 10/20/30/40/50 protections. All of Vulcan’s structures fire 50% faster and gain massive regeneration. The Inferno Cannon also fires in a 360 radius and auto targets gods while under the effects of Volcanic Overdrive. Cost - 100 mana. Cooldown - 90s.

General:

Clan tags may now be up to 5 characters. Existing clans will have an opportunity to change their tag once without a cooldown period.
Players Level 1 to 5 now have their own “Novice” Conquest queue (similar to an earlier implementation in Closed Beta). Players above Level 5 cannot join this queue, and players Level 1 to 5 cannot join the normal Conquest queue, even in a party. Arena and Domination do not have these restrictions.
Four and Five-person teams are allowed to queue the normal Conquest queue; however, the match-making logic has been changed to better ensure that teams of 4 and 5 play mostly with other large teams.
The login screen has undergone a visual makeover.
You can now view the profile of your friends and prospective friends from the FRIEND screen in the Social menu.
A better presentation has been implemented for swapping gods while in draft mode.
The Top Ranked Players listing now only shows players that have played a ranked match in the last 7 days. Previously it showed players that had played any type of match in the last 7 days (although your rating was still determined solely by your performance in Ranked Matches).
Fixed a bug in which the Stats link on the Team page was not working.
Fixed several conditions on the end of match lobby screen in which data was not populating correctly.
Fixed a bug in which Win status for some matches on the History screen was incorrect.
Several tweaks to the Solo Practice bot AI.
Fixed a bug with changing resolution.
Players can no longer rent or purchase gods in draft mode.
Fixed an issue that prevented some players from playing Ranked matches because of minimum required gods purchased.
Fixed issue in draft mode that your chosen god disappeared.
Fixed issue in EOML where your accolades were not represented correctly
Familiars (Vulcan’s turrets / Bastet’s cats / etc) now show with a minion icon on mini-map.
A player being damaged by a player pet now tags both the pet and the owning player as having recently attacked a player.

Spectator Changes

Added a new sync feature to keep spectators that are partied in sync with the party leader. This feature is designed to allow for live multicasting while still allowing spectators to manipulate time.
Improved the resiliency of spectator to minor network glitches.
Fixed an issue in which players would have an issue getting into a match after having spectated a match.
Fixed a crash-causing issue after rewinding.
Color blind colors no longer show when spectating.
Added an indicator to the minimap to represent the spectator’s location and rotation.
Fixed an issue where the timeline would display the time incorrectly when the match went over an hour.
Fixed issue with match invites not appearing after watching a demo recording

Jungle Camps:

Cooldown buff

+20 focus has been added to this buff.

Damage buff

+10 magical power and +5 physical power has been added to this buff.

Speed buff

+10% attack speed has been added to this buff.

Items:

Many items have had their Focus removed and some of the items have been repriced.
Bulwark of Hope

Shield duration has been reduced from 2s to 1s.

Death’s Toll

Passive now also restores 1.5 mana per hit with a basic attack.

Golden Bow

Radius of the additional damage has been increased from 10ft to 15ft.

Magi’s Blessing

The passive now absorbs an enemy spell every 30 seconds instead of every 45 seconds.

Vampiric Shroud

Base stats and passive has changed.

+100 Health
+5 MP5
PASSIVE - Killing an enemy restores 10 health and mana.

Warlock’s Sash

Stacks now gain +2 health instead of +2 mana.

Boots of the Magi

Out of combat movement speed has been removed.

Girdle of Might

Ability now also buffs magical and physical power by 10%.

Meditation

After using this ability, you now gain 15 MP5 for 15 seconds.

Creeping Curse

Cooldown reduced from 150s to 120s.

Fatalis

This item now provides Focus.
The passive has changed from movement speed and attack speed to movement speed and focus.
Maximum number of stacks has been changed from 3 to 4.

Circlet of Focus

Item has changed significantly and is no longer a starter item.
Gives additional Focus on ability use.
Recommended items have replaced this item with Vampiric Shroud.

Movement speed buff and debuff has been increased from 10% to 15%.
Focus contribution has been increased from .1% to .15% per Focus.

Freya

Damage has been increased from 40/55/70/85/100 to 50/70/90/110/130.

But yeah, she does look quite awesome. Pretty generic "hawt Egypshun chick" tho.

You know, this is one of the few games where I'd be OK with every female character being a 10/10 with impossibly perfect proportions, because this is a game about gods. Gods are supposed to be perfect in most ways, and in the folklore they always seem to talk about how pretty the goddesses are. It makes way more sense in SMITE than it does in LoL.
 
I was going to wait until I got home and do this but I got a break at work and one point I wanted to post turned into several. I'd also like to get some discussion going about the game! It's a shame more GAFfers don't play, or at least post here. Let's turn this thread into something more than just patch notes and data mining! :p

So after playing a bit yesterday, I have come to the conclusion that Vulcan needs a nerf of some sort. He can lock down a lane or capture point by himself and can wreck pretty much any non-tank god. His turrets are not too bad to kill on their own but you take too much damage getting in range to do so. You pretty much have to run away before you hit half health as well or else he will ult and his turret will hit you 2 - 3 times as you run.
He's not crazy op, I'm not about to start banning him in Conquest, but there needs to be some slight adjustments made. I've run into some people building him hybrid physical damage/tank and he just rocks so hard.

Also, what's with the removal of all the focus on stuff? Only 3 items have it now (Fatalis, Boots of Celerity, Circlet of Focus.) I thought that was an odd change. I do like the change to all the boots. That little bit of penetration helps against tanks early game. Boots of Celerity is still my jam for most gods though.

I'm sitting on 11000 favor and 200 gems, definitely waiting for a look at Poseidon before spending anything. I just bought Anubis and really I should have done this long ago. He's pretty sick. Right now I'm "maining" him, Thor, and Xbalanque. Sometimes I'll use He-bo or Sobek if team composition calls for it. Who does everyone like to use?

May as well post my IGN here (BurningNad) and feel free to add me if you want. I'm not "pro" by any means but I'm definitely better than your average random. I've never tried rank so I can't post an elo. But if it matters enough just check out my profile in game. Anyway I'll stop rambling now lol.

Neith

PASSIVE - Broken Weave

A Broken Weave appears at the last location that each enemy god dies. The Broken Weaves give Neith minimap visibility and her abilities have secondary effects when used on the Broken Weaves.

Spirit Arrow

Neith fires a shot through the world weave that passes through everything, dealing 80/140/200/260/320 (+80% of your physical power) physical damage and rooting the first target for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2 seconds. Successive enemies hit take 75% of the damage and root duration. If it hits a Broken Weave, the Weave detonates, dealing an additional 100% of the damage and applying the root to all enemies in the area. Cost - 60/65/70/75/80 mana. Cooldown - 15s.

Unravel

Neith neatly unravels the world weaves, damaging all enemies in the target area for 70/100/130/160/190 (+80% of your physical power), reducing their attack speed by 30% for 2s, and healing Neith 30/40/50/60/70 for each enemy hit, up to 3. Any Broken Weaves in the area are removed, healing Neith an additional 60/80/100/120/140. Cost - 70 mana. Cooldown - 15s.

Back Flip

Neith back flips through the air, creating a Broken Weave as she leaps while damaging enemies in a narrow cone in front of her for 60/100/140/180/220 (+80% of your physical power), slowing them by 25% for 2.5/3/3.5/4/4.5s. Cost - 70/75/80/85/90 mana. Cooldown - 10s.

World Weaver

Neith charges up and fires an arrow across the entire world, seeking its target and passing through all obstacles. Enemy gods are hit for 230/295/360/425/490 (+120% of your physical power) and are stunned for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5s where Broken Weaves that are hit will apply the same effects to everyone in the area. The arrow can be fired quicker for diminished results. Cost - 80/90/100/110/120 mana. Cooldown - 90s.

General:

New functionality has been added under the TV menu. From this new section, players can watch the top Smite streamers on Twitch.TV, as well as play demo recording from recently concluded top matches.
When creating a Challenge Match, players are now presented with additional setup options, including Region, God Pick Mode, Starting Level, Starting Gold and whether or not to require all members from a joining party to be on the same Team. You may also choose to have players pick by the order in which their party was formed, instead of their Ranking.
Buy what the top players build: A new tab has been added to the in-game item store. The “Popular” tab shows the Top 10 items used for a given god in the last 7 days by the Top 200 Smite players.
A “Solo Arena Practice” mode has been added under the PRACTICE tab on the PLAY menu. This mode allows a single player to play in an Arena Deathmatch mode, with 2 friendly AI bots on his team versus 3 enemy bots. At present, the bots are Ra, Artemis and Ymir. Future versions will improve upon and advance this mode.
In Arena, once a team's score reaches 10 points, non-gladiator minion kills against that team will no longer deduct a point. Points will continue to deduct normally for all minions who enter the enemy gates. Gladiator kills continue to deduct points. The intent is to put a higher premium on God kills during the ending phase of Arena matches, giving more chances for a “comeback”.
The towers in the Conquest map have undergone visual modifications.
The hit reactions that play when minions take damage from auto-attacks have undergone changes.
While stunned or silenced, your ability bar will now do a better job of indicating that your abilities are unusable.
When mousing over god thumbnails and portraits in the Match Lobby, you now see tooltips with additional information on the gods.
The tooltips in the in-match HUD while in free-mouse mode have undergone improvements and provide more information presented in a clearer format. You may also review your god’s passive by mousing over the portrait of the god on the HUD.
On the Home Screen, the New God and God Rotation widgets now have improved tooltips, showing you stats on the gods. Left-click on the god icon to view additional information.
Map pinging is now allowed only within the playable boundaries of the map.
Fixed an issue in which some tooltips in the in-match HUD (when in mouse-free mode) would not appear correctly at lower resolutions.
Some minor cleanups and bug fixes have been made to the Party Management screen.
Sounds heard through walls now attenuate much more aggressively.
Added Tower Kills and Healing Points to the end of match lobby stats screen.
Minor visual modifications have been made to the login process, preventing users from spamming the login button.
Players may now change the volume for the Out of Match Notifier popup from inside the game on the Audio tab in the Settings menu (previously, the volume could only be changed through the options menu on the game launcher).
The in-match chat now makes it easier to whisper to another player, reply to someone that has whispered to you, or chat with your Team (Clan).

Spectator Changes

Added a rewind point early in the match time. Depending on when players load in, the first rewind point should be between 0-10 seconds.
Fixed some bugs where party-spectating could get out of sync after the party leader rewinds when paused.
If playback is greater than 1x speed, after a rewind, the playback speed will reset to 1x.
Improved smoothness of the character movement.
Clicking the minimap outside of the playable area no longer moves the spectator camera outside of the map.
Fixed an issue where the targeting beam from a structure could get stuck on after rewinding.
Fixed an issue where the viewpoint could thrash while playing the end sequence of a minotaur death.
Fixed an issue where a destroyed tower would not be visible after rewinding back to a time where the tower should still standing.

Jungle Camps:

Difficulty escalation has been reduced for the small fury camps.
Starting health of the camps has been reduced by ~10%.

Items:

Some aura items should no longer stop working after standing near an enemy with the same item

Focus:

Focus has been removed from the game. That includes items, buff camps and all of the god abilities. Gods that have abilities with Focus contributions have been modified and their new values for those abilities affected are listed below.

Focus removed from all ranks.

Fatalis

Focus removed from all ranks.
Attack speed added back to the passive.

Circlet of Focus

This item has been removed from the game temporarily.

Anhur

PASSIVE - Cripple

Basic attacks reduce the enemy targets physical power by 15% for 3 seconds.

Shifting Sands

The sands slow by 15/20/25/30/35%.
Increase damage of Anhur’s basic attacks by 4/8/12/16/20% against enemies in the sands.

Impale

Enemies that are impaled into a wall are stunned for 1.1/1.2/1.3/1.4/1.5s.

Disperse

The amount of knockback is not variable and is at the maximum amount.

Anubis

PASSIVE - Sorrow

Protections stolen are now 7 per stack, stacking 3 times.

Mummify

Stun for 1.2/1.4/1.6/1.8/2s.

Grasping Hands

Slow by 25% for all ranks.

Ao Kuang

Wow, this patch is like a drought for us dataminers, there's only a couple of Poseidon skill icons (which you can check out on his page on smitewiki, I uploaded them there), and that's about it. :(
 
he might just be a ways off or they are getting more sly hiding stuff away from data miners although i dont see why they would do that imo new info always causes hype
 
Nah, I check all the files every time. There's nothing hidden away lol.
They probably just aren't done with him yet.

And it's unlikely they'll hide away stuff from us. I mean, they've known it all along, and they actually removed the WIP characters (Fenrir and Yen Lo Wang) and skins (e.g. Cheerleader Kali, among others) after they were datamined, yet they keep on trickling through little bits of information for us to speculate about.

Poseidon's skill icons actually are pretty straight forward in their looks, and we know he'll be a mage, so it's easy to gather what at least his 1 and 2 will be. His 1 even is the same icon as He Bo's ult, just with a changed background color lol.

Also, for those of you who bought the Ultimate God Pack, happy news, as Poseidon will be included into the pack as well! So it's the first 31 gods instead of 30 now.

"The Ultimate God Pack has been adjusted so that it now includes all gods in the game, including any future released gods. Those that purchased the Ultimate God Pack previously will receive new gods automatically (there is no need to upgrade). The Ultimate God Pack remains at a special beta price until the game is officially released.

In addition, when the Ultimate God Pack is purchased, players will now receive a FAVOR refund for any gods purchased prior to buying the Ultimate God Pack. Those that have already purchased the Ultimate God Pack will receive a favor refund upon first login after the patch goes live."
 
Yeah, there's absolutely NO reason at all to not buy that pack now.

Edit: Yeah, it's completely confirmed that it includes ALL gods, pre- and post-release. Every character you bought for gems/favor prior to getting the god pack will be refunded with 5500 favor.
