Only site I was able to get my size 10.5 into a cart was Eastbay and I was cart jacked multiple times. Of course that size is obviously sold out now and on every other site.

I had them in my cart on FTA, FTL and Champs. Couldn't check out due to the crashing and checkout line. There isn't one good system to buying shoes right now.
This was like the one shoe I wanted this first half of the year. There's still SNKRS but let's be real. After the release to ALL iOS users, it's pretty much a crap shoot.
On eBay folks are asking for $350-$500+.

was able to pick up my chicagos after winning a raffle from NTNY. felt so good to get the call yesterday. this morning was a train wreck online.
there were no major flaws on my pair, but on some parts of the shoes the leather is almost tumbled with the rest of it being flat. solid quality all around, but its hard to compare it to the fragment quality, which is honestly on a different level.

Also struck out on the Chicago 1's, like a few have already mentioned this was the only shoe I wanted so far, with the Bordeaux VII's being the other shoe I was going after but I just could not check out on any of the sites no matter how many times I got one into the cart.
I carted on Foot Locker immediately, tried to check out and sat there looking at a white splash screen that said "processing" for at least an hour & a half. In the meantime they sold out every where ... I had pairs on Foot Action & Eastbay as well, but could not check out for the life of me.
I refuse to pay $400 on a $160 shoe, so I'm going to wait it out and try again when Nike releases them. The 1's thirst is real ever since Kanye wore 'em a couple times, shit is ridiculous. I remember paying outlet prices for the '94 BRED 1 retro's when I was 12

I have 2013s (which are garbage) but this is getting ridiculous. I could understand if they engaged in the limited garbage for the Shattered Boards but not with the original shoe that launched the shoe craze Nike is currently enjoying.

It's weird to me that Nike seems to care so much about online bots, when the raffle rigging and backdoor sales from the brick & mortar stores is just as bad, if not worse than the botting. Shoe Palace is gettin' slammed on Twitter for a picture of an associate selling two resellers their entire inventory, meanwhile telling everybody else that they didn't get any at all.
I used to wonder why I never won ANY raffles.

That's why I hate raffles. The only one I ever liked was the online Finishline Air Jordan XI raffles. Can't hate on that.
But they wouldn't have to conduct raffles if they made enough of the shoe. When has their ever been hype on Chicago 1s? Obviously, this is post Royal 1, Bred 1, Shadow 1 and Fragment 1 release but in 2013, I was able to easily pick up the Chicago 1s in my size. It was the Breds that changed all that (Royals to a lesser extent).
And Shoe Palace is horrible regardless. They charge $10 or more above retail on "hot" releases lol. But all these in store raffles are shady.

You know the guy at the store sells those guys all the shoes because he'll get a cut of their own resales.
Anyway, I'm glad I don't like 99.9% of Jordans, and 100% of Lebrons, or Kobes. The best Jordans I got were never hyped (Jordan 1 mid nouveau Night Shadow).

I skipped on the Bred 11 Lows. Well, skipped may be the wrong word. I decided not to buy them after considering the 11 Lows I have that I do have worn less than 6 times...total. So I got these instead -

It's legit but very expensive. They also seem to be a little picky in what shoes they trade/buy/consignment.
They're selling the Chicagos for $600. Seriously, imagine if Converse (which might be owned by Nike) made OG Chuck Taylor's limited. Can't understand why they didn't make it a giant GR.

Nah I'm a 10 US, UK 8 or 7.5 if I go smaller.
Plus at that price I bet shipping to Canada ends up at the same as if I buy it full price in CAD, considering the taxes and duties and all that. The Canadian dollar sucks.
I'm thinking of getting the Nike Dunk Lux in red, anyone knows somewhere they might be available in Canada?
Otherwise I'll just make my own Adidas Top Ten Hi. They probably won't be as nice, but I like them and I got a pair I made in black white and yellow I really like.

BTW I just stumbled on some costumed sneakers. How the heck does that work in general? I'm guessing anything goes, but I'm curious to know more how it's done. For example in some cases they paint the shoe, I'm curious what the process is, I kind of want to do this. Stuff like SBTG: http://sbtgsurplus.bigcartel.com/

I picked up a pair of the Lava Lunar 3s. I like the pink lava color less than the orange MC on the NDC exclusives.
And it's still sadder day. I want like 10 pairs of the Chicago 1s but the cost is so prohibitive in just buying 1. Can't believe they dropped a massive GR of Prostar Vs, Hare 7s, Pregrape 5, Metallic Vs, etc. I bet they pull the same shenanigans with the Shattered Backboards.
