$350, my former boss is a HUGE jordan fan and got it for me from one of his sneaker buddies.

Yeah, I couldn't pay $250 or $350 for a pair of AJ 1s.
But then again, I can't pay resell prices, unless it's a few dollars above retail.
Going to go after the Kobe 8 Red Boas tomorrow. Next week, it's all about the AJ 3 Fire Red.
Sunday wasn't a bad day for me. I was able to track down 2 pairs of the AJ 1 Shadows and a few Roshes.
But then again, I can't pay resell prices, unless it's a few dollars above retail.
Going to go after the Kobe 8 Red Boas tomorrow. Next week, it's all about the AJ 3 Fire Red.

Clothing and shoes are basically my only hobby (if you consider shopping for them a hobby) nowadays so most of my extra cash goes towards that. I have no problem at all buying expensive things as long as I feel they're worth it.

Nike hates us all. They only like money. I haven't been able to get any of the limited Lebrons and am not paying the reseller rate. The Championship Pack is right up there with the MVPs. It'll be next to impossible for most people to get them. They're only going to be released in HoH and NTs and some small boutiques like Lebron's store in Miami.
I was able to get a pair of the Lifestyle and Red Boa Kobe 8s from the Nike Store. Tried to get them in store in Tampa. No luck. Them suckers were gone.
I'm not willing to import these to America.

It was pretty sought after online (maybe not as much in certain locales). I like the look of them. In fact, I'd say the 1 releases have been solid except for the Chicago. Unfortunately, they're Air Jordan 1s, so expectations should be tempered. Nike is about profit margins, so they're not like New Balance with the 990 Anniversaries where it's all premium materials and care.
Having said that, I hope I can get my hands on the Needs this fall.
This, I guess. These AJ1s just aren't commensurate with their price. They cost US$175 where I live (Singapore) and that is a high, high price to pay for a retro of 28 year old shoe. I can justify the cost of a pair of 4s or 11s because of their tech and materials, but the AJ1 is about as plain a hightop basketball shoe as they come. People might temper their expectations, but it's not like Nike's going to bring down the cost of the AJ1s to match.
Again, I realise Nike's in it for the profit, but this kind of gouging is just...ugh.
At least you guys get a chance to grab a pair, doesn't even look like Canada is getting any pairs!
I admit i'm part of the problem, willing to pay ridiculous prices for 1s but they just look so good. God help me when the bred 1s come out later this year, I have to get a pair. Also doesn't help that when I wore my royals yesterday, my girl said they looked real good haha.
Those red lunars look great! and looking the those chukkas kinda makes me regret not getting the wolf grey chukkas last month :s Haven't seen em again since then.
I ordered the cleaner and the premium cleaning brush yesterday night. It should be shipped on Monday. I'll let you know how it is.

Have they released an exact release date for them do you know?
$18 for the shoe cleaner and $10 for the brush, but I don't think that the brush is necessary if you have one already. It might not be worth it to you if you are not in the US. The shipping charges to Canada were almost as much as the cleaner and brush.
If you live in Toronto they sell them at both Capsule and Livestock. My friend said it works really good, it took the grass stains off from his sons shoes.
From what i've been reading, everyone is expecting a fall release. Fall/Winter is gonna be packed with amazing Js.

Ugh, unless I'm using a bot, I have probably a 5% chance. I have just a good a shot to play and win the lotto. There are like 500-700 pairs.
And I can't knock your hustle or what you spend your money on, but there is no way I'm going to pay the resell price for !@#$% AJ 1 Royals. I wanted the shoe, but it's a $140 shoe (which could realistically be a $80-$100 shoe if Nike wasn't so insane now), and $260-$300, I just don't have the stomach for, especially when said company has at least 3-20 high-profile releases a month.
I spent so much money during the All-Star period. Granted, no one was making me, but Nike is eating good right now. And this fall, they're going to be eating even better with the price increases on all of their major lines (Lebrons, Kevin Durant, Kobe, Jordan Retro, Jordan regular, etc).
Upcoming Jordans include the Fire Red 3, the Fear Pack ($175 for AJ3, AJ4 and AJ5), Green Glow 4, Bred 1, Gamma Blue XI, AJ5 Fire Red (Part Duex), AJ 12 Taxi, AJ 10 Steel and many, many surprises.
Good luck with the Lebrons if you do decide to try and grab a pair, I was just looking at some pictures and they look so amazing. Beautiful pair of shoes.

The main 2 stores that cancel orders are Finishline and Dick Sporting Goods. Eastbay and family are usually pretty good about stock.
I ended up buying pairs in store. It was the shortest line I've been in for a Jordan release in the past 2 years. It was crazy. I posted a pic on Nike Talk.
The "experience" was made better because I was sitting by some crazy kid, who was so elated to cop a pair and flip them for 3 stacks. I tried telling him he was deluded. I was like this is a general release and if there was hype for these the line would've stretched past the Macy's store versus 20-30 feet from the mall entrance. Dude was talking about taking pictures of a money stack as a way to entice people to buy the shoe. Then he wanted to take a pic by the fountain. I was like what kind of marketing plan is that. Dude was whilin out. He tried to take pictures of this dudes girl with a couple of pairs. Dude was lucid.

Heard about this a while back, been meaning to go but for some reason I keep forgetting about it. I've heard a lot of good things from people about the shoes they have on display. Will definitely check it out, hopefully soon.
Went to a couple of malls today to check out the fire red 3s and just as I thought (like everyone else), it wasn't a hot seller. Both Champs I went to had plenty of pairs in stock and the 1 Footlocker had plenty of stock as well. My brother in law was at downtown Toronto and he said the same thing. Looks like another crimson 3 situation. Tried it on to see if it would look good on foot but to me, there was just something about it that seemed off, can't quite put my finger on it. Even my gf said there was something off about the shoe. No gf seal of approval so it's a definite pass.
Kinda funny you mention that cause as soon as I got home, i went on kijiji to see if there were people trying to resell the 3s. Sure enough there were a bunch of resellers selling them with prices ranging from 240 (which is reasonable if you absolutely can't find it anywhere in a couple of months, $15 more than retail) to 300 (downright ridiculous). Pretty funny seeing them saying their prices are "firm". I wonder how "firm" those prices will be when they cant find any buyers.

So I go to the mall with one goal... to get that item! I get there... and end up leaving with two new pairs of sneakers. lol.

I like the Crimson variant of the III's, but I ain't sure. They are still available here, so I will buy them in October I guess?
The one thing I hope is that the IV's red will still be available in September here. I am pretty optimistic about them. I need them... (The White grapes are still available in my size at nike.de, so I hope they IV will be too. haha)

What do you guys think of this trade: AJ3 88 White Cement for AJ3 CDP Black Cement. I always preferred the black cement 3s but im not sure if the CDPs or 2011s are better in quality.

I guess it depends on how much cash the person is adding for the '88s. Black Cement III's to me are the GOAT Jordan, but they're not hitting for anywhere close to how much 88's are going for.

I just like them because of the price (for me $60ish dollars with Winners Circle reward, etc). They're extremely comfortable, probably more so than Kobe 8, Flyknits and some casual shoes. They look different. I think I have like 7 pairs. I think it's a bit early to be making comparisons to Chuck Taylor's.

He's adding 50 dollars, I think I'm gonna take it. The thing is I can't afford a 2001 pair right now and I dislike the extra shiny leather on the 2011 retro. It's harder to find the CDP version these days. I agree with you, black cement 3s are TOP 5 for sure.
Personally, I think I'd ask for a little more. I was able to bump an extra pair of '88s for $350 a week or two after they initially dropped. It looks like they're still hovering around that price.

Are the Black Cements DS/new? Or are they worn a few times?
If it's DS and cash (which I don't know the market value of the CDP), I'd take it if you don't like the 88s or not attached to them.

It's the ones in the picture, brand new. I see that Black cements from 2011 go for upper 200s or low 300 (he actually wanted 350 for these). I personally prefer the look of the CDP because of the matte paint on the midsole and the leather is not as shiny as the 2011 retro. It's not like I don't like the 88s it's just that I think the BC3 is an all around better shoe, him adding 50 just makes the deal good for both sides I think.
Go for it, dude. You'll be getting a nice pair and some cash.
