I tried disabling the blur filter, and it did nothing.
What did you do? Works great for me and others at reddit and Github.
If you haven't done much of this yet, read the OP first so you have an idea of how everything works. You need to overmount the file /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc. Make a copy of it onto your computer, then make a text file named something like p0202_filter with two lines--
and a blank line underneath. Put the file you created in /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/etc/preinit.d/Code:overmount /usr/bin/clover-canoe-shvc
Now, edit your copy of clover-canoe-shvc based on how you want your filters to behave. There are three relevant lines here.
Code:keep-aspect-ratio) options="$options -filter 1 -magfilter X" ;; //4:3 mode pixel-perfect) options="$options -filter 1 --pixel-perfect" ;; crt-filter) options="$options -filter 2 -magfilter X" ;;
-magfilter is what controls the display filter. Set it to 3 to disable the bilinear filter, or set it to 2 to enable the horizontal-only linear filter.
-filter controls the scanline filter. You can turn it on by setting it to 2, for example if you want to use scanlines in pixel perfect mode as well. Or you can set it to 1 to get the blur filter without any scanlines.
After you set it up how you like, copy that file to /var/lib/hakchi/rootfs/usr/bin/. After you copy it, you may need to adjust the permissions for the file-- if you're using WinSCP (you probably should), right click on the file on the SNES, click properties, and checkmark all of the permissions.
That. It didn't do anything. At all.
Just noticed that Tetris & Dr. Mario is going outside of the border, anyway to fix?
Search my posts. There is a waaaaaay easier solution.
I love you forever.
Don't lose your kernel dump.
Yeah this, I added this to my SNES Mini earlier and played through the prologue. Seemed to be fine.
You need to use Retroarch for it to work though. Doesn't boot otherwise as far as I'm aware.
when installing the driver, is it normal for the DOS window to say it is installing the NES mini driver? Selected the SNES classic during setup and dumped/updated/synced fine.
Is the dump file unique to each console somehow? (ie somebody else's file wouldn't work on your snes classic).
Or is it just that it's not legal to get the file from somebody else? That seems kind of strange seeing that you own the device. It's not like it's illegal to borrow somebody else's software installation CDs if you're going to register the software with a key you own. But maybe not the best analogy...
Is there an easy way to sort game by system? Or do I need to FTP into the console to do that?
What about adding scanlines to any games (fba, snes) running through retroarch?
Alright, finished with mine. Not gonna mess with it any further. I hand-sized each of the boxes, color-corrected everything, and tested every single game. It's organized, clean, and I love it.
what the??
nes, gameboy advance and sega games?
and can someone linkthe video again?
and maybe put it in the OT!?
thanks
Gonna ask again since I really want it and am no good at photoshop.
Can anyone make this border for Chrono Trigger?
The image you supply and the GiantBomb ones don't quite match. I had a quick look, but note the position of Lucca in the GB one and where she is in the image. In the colour image she's much closer to that machine to her right, and lower down. I could maybe knock something similar up, but it might not have Lucca in the frame due to aspect ratio.. or we could ignore aspect ratio.. It's tricky. I'll have a look.
Edit: Okay, I can definitely do something here.
I think it would look nice if you just deleted the selection boxes altogether. You can do that by editing /usr/share/ui/sprites/packed.png. I did it anyway, because I think they are rather ugly to begin with.
If you just want scanlines without the blur filter, add the following in the global command line box:
-filter 2 -magfilter 0
Works great.

Distribution of copyrighted material is illegal, so just keep to your own kernel
Hnnnng awesomesauce, thats perfection! Cant wait to get home and grab it, is it easy to install a custom border?

I think the USA boxart for Prince of Persia is atrocious....[/IMG]
Somebody please help usIt happened to my translated FFVI. I just deleted it and decided to play in English so I'm interested in this too.
Somebody please help us
I have a quick question for you guys. Hakchi is still hanging for me at the "waiting for your nes/snes.." part when trying to put games on the machine.
Are you guys using the stock USB/Mini-USB cable the comes with the Classic to connect to your PC, or are you using a different cable?
Using the one that came with it.
The Super Ghouls 'n Ghost Restoration patch isn't working for me. It just crashes to a black screen and C7 error. Anyone got it working?
Sorry, in my case it's Tetris & Dr. MarioMy Woolsey Uncensored patched FFVI works fine. Maybe try a different ROM?

How are you turning on your SNES Mini? After you've haxed the console and are at the Sync games stage you don't need to turn it on holding the reset button, turn it on normally (red light) and hakchi should kick in automatically.
