With the release of KOF 14, SNKP started using the SNK motiff again, but the name of the company still was SNK PLAYMORE CORPORATION.

That until today, SNKP announced that the name of the company from now on will be SNK, using the old slogan "the future is now" on its logo

This is great, even though Playmore released good games, the name had a bad reputation as a company that only was interested on pachislots, or releasing games with dubious quality, I hope that we start seeing a new era for this company, at least the graphic update for KOF 14 is a good start

When SNK was going down, it licensed some of it's stuff out to other companies&#8212;which is why we got the Eolith era of KOF. Then, people originally from SNK were trying to secure the rights to SNK stuff, and they did it through a new company called Playmore. Once they got the proper rights to return to SNK's library, they became SNK Playmore.

At least, that's how I remember things.

And, Neo Geo was going to be marketed as a "32-bit Quality" system

Then later, actually marketed as a "24-Bit system" that most remember.
