Flowe Boy Ramyun Shop, a cable drama / comedy

it's currently running with six episodes subbed so far. It's just a lot sillier and less stuck-up than dramas usually are. Main girl looks like and sort of acts like Dara. And in the last episode I watched she just delivered the simile "it feels like an unfinished poop session".

So I guess they are ending their "the boys" promotions. Can they now promote another song, maybe "Trick"?

it always surprises me how down and dirty they can get in these dramas, when they are so squeemish about the music shows. like in Kim Sam Soon where she pees on him.

I'm not sure I would say "down and dirty" describes the squeamish reaction to the most superficial peck on the lips, not to mention that most dramas take 10 episodes to get to that peck, but on the other hand swearing and alcohol seems kosher all around. I guess that differs from show to show. On cable you'll get all the goods, though.

I'm not even sad that they are ending promotions as they are on so much TV programming right now and have their own show on the way. Taeyeon, Sica, and Seohyun are the only ones not doing another set program, they should release solo songs just to keep busy lol

It seems like there is a lot of hipocracy and contradictions in korea. I think they all just go with it Or they separate out the worlds. So dramas are like hbo and variety shows and kpop are like the disney channel. Like that girl mc from RM. She had that crazy scene in that movie frozen flower which was basically soft cOre porn. But I'm sure when on RM if she even shows an ankle the community will get on her for being a harlot. Hyuna is like adult swim

And anyone with a slow Internet connection or crappy computer, I'm warning you now. Avoid this thread on December 5th. It's Yuri's birthday and I plan to celebrate with a bang. I'm already making the bombs...
I just hope some of the gifs don't get me banned

Uh... no. She's a 30-year-old actress, not an 18-year-old idol. And YJS is the only MC on the show.

apparently you will get asked to leave if you get caught taking pics/videos =\ at least they have stricter rules regarding signs and stuff like signs are only allowed to be a certain size and can only be used in the seated areas not standing

She was 23 when she did that scene, believe me, i checked. And I meant she's a regular on the show, not mc. All I'm trying to say is that there's a double standard in the industry between idols and actors. I forgot her name but the RM girl's nude scene was well received and she was still able to find work. If she wanted to start singing and become an idol, she probably could.

But, let's say Yoona,
for Alta1r's sake
wanted to venture into more "serious" acting and do a steamy yet tasteful nude scene. Not only would SM never allow that but for some reason her fans would surely turn on her. So it seems if you start as an actor anything goes but idols are limited to cutesy ayego BS.

I didn't get hooked on any of the SNSD songs from the album but that wonder girls album was pretty good. Well, I got hooked on nu shoes, stop, me.in, and act cool. Those songs are too good. Nu shoes or act cool really should have been the marquee song, not be my baby. I wish the had MVs for those songs so I could see who sings what part.

And I just discovered "turn it up" by TOP. That song is too good, so much swag.

Also just finished watching the soshi dream team episode. I though it was pretty boring for the most part. The girls just seemed super exhausted and like they didn't want to be there. It wasn't nearly as good as the awesomeness that was the soshi RM episode. That was 2 hours of pure hilarity with some sexiness when Yuri's and hyo were on camera.

Anyone know if IY2 is on soshi subs yet? That site is so damn hard to navigate and find things.

Yeah, as an album I'm liking WG's effort more than SNSD's. They'll have more luck on the music shows next week.

Any of you guys notice how Hyo is getting a lot more attention recently? Like she seems to be doing a lot more interviews and just seems more comfortable in her own skin and is willing to put up with the awkwardness of having a camera up in your grill for most of the day.

Like in The Boys, Hyo actually got singing parts and a Rap part which was a big change from her getting nothing at all. And the camera seems to actually focus on her now. She's even doing IY2. I'm liking it.

Fany on the other-hand seems to be toning it down quite a bit. She barely had a singing role in "The Boys". During the variety shows she either seems to smile, get embarrassed, or hide behind someone (related to getting embarrassed). Fany always struck me as the least Korean of the group. Like still more culturally American. I remember her saying she still thinks in English and she just seems a little more mature then the others.

I've also started to wonder who the smartest in the group is. It could be Sunny, I remember her talking about hypertonic and hypotonic solutions once on Hello Baby. Or possibly Fany. The whole ValleyGirl think could be an act. She just seems like shes the most well-read out of the group. Well...shes the only one I've ever seen holding a actual book as they go on a plane. I've never even seen that cunning Maknae with the book even though she claims to study all the time. Hyo is hot and all, and probably awesome personality wise, but, I don't think she's the smartest.

Hence the shirt...

I heard that SmartestInKoreaHyoyeon has a PhD in being smart. True story. I'll even submit that to allkpop.com to validate its truthfulness.

I like Lim btw. I like how WG embraces their most aesthetically displeasing member and doesn't hide her in the background, kind of like SNSD with Yoon.

Speaking of I really enjoyed the second episode of the Running Man China Special. The breakfast challenge was a bit lame as the guest caught on pretty quickly but the battle itself was very rad. Everyone was pretty surprised (including myself) that
Jong Kook was the accomplice
. He seems to blame the role quite well!
