EW! KILL THEM KILL THEM BEFORE THEY ARRIVE!

Anyway, if you ever get the chance pick up PIKMIN 2 and METROID PRIME because it owns your god damn soul.

Resident Evil 4

Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat

Would be my reccomdations.

Paper Mario 2 was a good pick up though.

Hope you got a platinum or jet black model.

MONKEY BALL 2
PAPER MARIO: THE THOUSAND-YEAR DOOR
PUYO POP FEVER
SUPER MONKEY BALL

Good start. Now you need P.N. 03, Sonic Mega Collection, Phantasy Star Online Episode I&II, F-Zero GX, and Ikaruga.

Also good: Wario World, Mario Sunshine, Wind Waker, Mega Man Anniversary Collection, and Beach Spikers

Worth renting to see if you like it: Viruta Quest, Amazing Island, Sonic Heroes, Metroid Prime, Pikmin, Luigi's Mansion, and Mario Kart Double Dash.

why did you buy the two monkey balls when you already have DX?

Because the XBox port is shit, and I'm reminded by how much I hate that godawful controller. How the fuck could they remove the ball acceleration sound? You need that to know how fast you're going.

Also, if anybody wants to buy the XBox version from me, in MINT condition, PM me. $25 shipped I suppose. But I'm going to class in a few minutes so I won't be able to respond until tonight.

ANIMAL CROSSING NGC -Nice.
BILLY HATCHER & THE GIANT EGG NGC-Crap.
MONKEY BALL 2 NGC-Nice.
PAPER MARIO: THE THOUSAND-YEAR DOOR-Nice.
PUYO POP FEVER NGC-Crap.
RESIDENT EVIL NGC-Nice.
RESIDENT EVIL ZERO NGC-Crap.
SIMPSONS HIT & RUN NGC-Crap.
SUPER MONKEY BALL NGC-Nice.

Waiting for RE4 to hit $20ish. I loved Mario RPG on SNES... I own Paper Mario 1, but didn't play it much. I also got the Jet Black Cube.

I own Sonic Mega Collection on PS2, even though the sound emulation is poor. I was debating repurchasing it, and the other Sonic games, but for now at least, I'll pass. I don't have a money tree or anything.

PSO, I'll wait until the new one on PS2. I don't want to start all my characters over from scratch just to have to do so again soon.

Paper Mario 2 owns. And you owe it to your lil' Gamecube that could to buy RE4 as soon as possible, price drop waiting is not acceptable in this case! Especially when you purchased RE0.

But seriously, for the love of goodness, avoid Virtua Quest, Amazing Island and P.N.03 like the fucking plague they are.

ANIMAL CROSSING NGC Yes!
BILLY HATCHER & THE GIANT EGG NGC
MONKEY BALL 2 NGC Yes!
PAPER MARIO: THE THOUSAND-YEAR DOOR/NGC Yes!
PUYO POP FEVER NGC Why not, Puyo Pop rules!
RESIDENT EVIL NGC Yes!
RESIDENT EVIL ZERO NGC Don't stop here, get 4 immediately!
SIMPSONS HIT & RUN NGC
SUPER MONKEY BALL NGC Yes Yes!

Games I urge consideration for next (you may want to buy multiplatform titles on other consoles...)

Baten Kaitos
Beyond Good & Evil
Donkey Konga (UK version if poss)
Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat
F-Zero GX
Luigi's Mansion
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin Snakes
Metroid Prime
Metroid Prime 2 Echoes
Pacman VS! (comes with R: Racing Evolution or Pacman World 2... only buy if you have a GBA/SP)
Phantasy Star Online Episode I & II (might not wanna bother unless you want a BBA just for this)
Pikmin 2
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time
Resident Evil 4
Soul Calibur II
Super Mario Sunshine
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Tales of Symphonia
The Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition
The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures (GBAs recommended)
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
TimeSplitters 2
Viewtiful Joe 1 and/or 2
Wario Ware: Mega Micro Game$

I'd recommend F-Zero and FF:CC for only $10 each. Both VJ games are also worth the money at $20 (if you don't have them on PS2). The image quality is a bit better in the GC versions, more so with the first installment.

And yeah, get RE4, dammit!

you wasted $87 on Hatcher, puyo pop, hit&run, and RE0

but you're waiting for RE4 to hit $20???

you know, instead of buying alot of $20 crap you could buy one good $50 game

Pikmin 2, metroid Prime 1 & 2, Tales of Symphonia, Zelda Wind Waker and Smash bros. and DK jungle Beat are musts IMO.

I would also consider Baten Kaitos and PN03 if I where you.(excellent game IMO, Its basically a shooter and has an oldschool feel and a lot of depth, in the sence that you need to play a lot to really master it. Haters be damned)

If you don't have it already, I'd highly recommend Eternal Darkness. I really enjoyed that game, especially the sanity stuff... really well done.

The last thing I was playing on my cube was Resident Evil 4, but I'm stuck in a house now. I haven't gone back to play it for a while... so many games... been playing mainly PSP stuff, need to go play some Front Mission 4 (finally picked that up... too many games!)

Guys he's going to get RE4 when it drops so layoff of him.....and it doesn't make sense to play RE4 BEFORE you play the Remake and RE0. If anything he should finish those two games and then play RE4 so that he will be able to fully enjoy all 3.

And I don't know why everyone is bashing his chooses since the majority of them are decent. Sure he could have gotten better games but maybe he doesn't like those types of games and picked these instead.

Excellent list of must haves. Trust this man.

Good advice when buying a console late in its lifespan: Don't immediately buy all the 'best' games. Spread it out a little. you don't want to get burned out on the top 5 or 6 titles and then spoil yourself. Then you won't want to play some of the many B or C grade games available.

Here's some other overlooked goodies you can try, if you wanna flesh out your collection a bit: I-Ninja, Pac-Man World 2, Gotcha Force, Samurai Jack, Metal Arms, Midway Arcade Treasures 1&2, Mortal Kombat Deception/Deadly Alliance, Prince of Persia: Sands of Time, Beyond Good and Evil, Soul Calibur II, XIII, Vexx, Donald Duck: Goin' Quackers, Capcom VS SNK 2, Bomberman Generation, Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, Alien Hominid, Bust-a-Move 3000, Egg Mania, Cubivore, Pac-Man VS, Zelda: 4 Swords Adventure, Super Bubble Pop, Zoocube, Worms 3D, Skies of Arcadia Legends, Gladius, Lost Kingdoms I & II, and Mega Man X: Command Mission.

Ok dude seriously you're high. You should basically just list every game available for the system, since nine out of ten games you're listing are complete ass.

You've played them all? Or are you going by magazine reviews?

I've played many, if not most, of the games you've listed, yes. That's what I do, play games. But especially because I'm not even close to the only one who feels these games are garbage, you're totally off your rocker. From here on out I'll just list every game EVER and say it's worthwhile.

Not to pick on you, but holy shit you have the worst taste ever.

Virtua Quest? Egg Mania? Samurai-Fucking-Jack?

Yes, these are horrible games by any reasonable standard unless you're high, like I suggested.

My Gamecube has been gathering dust for a year :\

Since Resident Evil 4 and Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat have all come out relatively recently this is not an acceptable use for your Gamecube.

If you say so. I happened to enjoy all of those games. It's true, my standards aren't anywhere near as high as most gamers. Obviously, I'd suggest games like Donkey Kong: Jungle Beat or Metroid Prime 2: Echos over bargain bin fodder like Vexx and Batman: The Rise of Sin Tzu. But everybody's already mentioned all the really good games. I'm just suggesting some of the overlooked games that get an unfair rep., or are merely overlooked. If I wanted to, I could go to Gamerankings.com and list the top 12 games on that list, but any monkey can do that.

There can be a fair amount of enjoyment out of all the games I listed. That's why I said 'try first'. Because not everybody likes them.

Chill, pal. We all like video games. We just have different tastes.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Remarkably different in your case :lol

See, you're listing things that most people aren't going to like even if they set their standards so low that the breaks through the center of the Earth. That's all I'm saying. Virtua Quest, jesus christ, it's just abysmal!

But I guess we're not getting anywhere. But you definitely win the award for "lowest (and subsequently worst) videogame taste ever" ;)

I'm just teasting you, btw. No need to get yer panties in a bunch. Everyone is allowed to have some guilty pleasures! :D

SonicMegaDrive, I don't think that's a bad idea at all. Pacing out the AAAs could be a very good one in fact. I bet loads of those are dirt cheap on the cube too...

I agree with Amirox on the ones he named though. I also didn't like Metal Arms personally... and I had that recommended a lot over on the IGN boards :( The problem with the cheaper, third party / multiplatform titles is that it's much more likely to become an opinion thing, or just shit. I think others are trying to list games that they consider surefire games that should hopefully be above opinion for most... games that Goodcow should definately accrue & play, so the cube could make a little angular space of it's own in his heart <3

I still think the cube is very under-rated... and by dust collecting comments that typically surface, under-used too. I guess that's what happens with irregular releases though... it goes away and people forget about it or can't be bothered hooking it up again. To be fair, even I know a chipped Xbox with media center and other goodies will rob a cube of serious screentime. But god damn people all the same. Especially the UK. Buy more Gamecubes!

I'd prefer to say I have 'varied' taste myself. Yeah, I liked Virtua Quest, and outside of a couple other people I've met in reality, I haven't seen too many other people who did.

I don't mean to turn this into another Virtua Quest thread, but the game isn't so bad that any person who thought it was worth playing must have taste so low that it 'breaks through the center of the Earth'.

I'm not preaching that the game is going to end up on anybody's top 10 list or win Game of the Year. I'm just saying the game isn't the next Superman 64 like you'd be led to believe by looking at the negativity surrounding the game on internet message boards and magazines.

right right. Well, yes Virtua Quest is no Superman 64. In that you're right.
