He's talking about the stove and is confusing texture quality with overall asset quality. I've already demonstrated that the Switch 2 version has some downgrades in that specific asset even compared to PS4 Pro in terms of asset quality, while the texture quality is much better.Wait, which object are you talking about? The gray drum thing on the left of the MC, that looks a little smoother with slightly less detail on the PS4 Pro?
There's an entire pot (on the left top of the gray drum) missing from the PS4 Pro and the Switch 2 versions, that's in the Series S.![]()

Same asset as the Series S version. you cant see the edge of the polygon in the Sereis S, becouse the withe thing...

When the Nintendo Direct happened?Do we really need to crow about Switch 2 failures? Switch 2 haters have already won, Switch 2 won't get third party support so all your dreams is being fulfilled as we speak.

It looks like we will be getting somewhere between PS4 Pro and Series S... And this is only the launch window.Normal people : hey we thought the switch 2 was going to be nearly on par with a base ps4 .. it seems to be a bit better than a ps4 pro!
Crazy Fanboys: see the ps5 is more powerful lol !!!
I am expecting to see a lot of people going radio silence here after the next Nintendo Direct partner showcase…How many times you going to post in this thread ?![]()
These types of threads are inevitable. The Switch is having a great launch even though some said it would bomb due to pricing. The ports are looking very capable even though many were predicting close to PS4 performance. How many times you going to post in this thread ?![]()
What happened? How about some apologies to steamdeck regarding SF6?
Not the worst outcome. I think we can expect last gen assets but with better textures and sometimes better image quality thanks to DLSS compared to Series S. That's how its been in the crossgen games shown so far. texture quality alone is a big upgrade. It was a good choice they equipped the console with 12 GB RAM.It looks like we will be getting somewhere between PS4 Pro and Series S... And this is only the launch window.

I made a prediction comment back in 2024 about all the possibles moving goal posts from the Switch 2 haters, this guys are so predictable.Normal people : hey we thought the switch 2 was going to be nearly on par with a base ps4 .. it seems to be a bit better than a ps4 pro!
Crazy Fanboys: see the ps5 is more powerful lol !!!
But they immediately follow it with "we were able to deliver that".The devs in the video said they "started" with next gen assets. Gotta pay attention when dealing with marketing material which is all we have had prior to launch.
But they immediately follow it with "we were able to deliver that".
Also, if they started with next gen assets but then dropped them because it was too heavy for Switch 2, why mention that in a developer interview at all? I think the intention was pretty clear, misleading marketing to let people think they are playing something that is equal to the big consoles.
Honestly I've been playing the game for several days now, I haven't notice the empty streets we could see in the pre-release footage, I run into a lot of NPC. But I got a day one patch, so maybe the truth lies behind it.Cyberpunk running last gen crowd density doesn't make much sense considering how much more powerful the CPU is.
It's not only the stove. Entire assets are missing or have been replaced with the low poly versions from last gen. That is definately noticeable without zooming at all.So we have gone from the Switch performance being worse than a base PS4, to then being around PS4 performance. Then we find out it's better than a PS4 and between PS4 Pro and Series S...
To now arguing over a lid that you have to zoom in to even notice lol....
Not enough information to make that sort of conclusion and there will be improvements over time as developers get more used to the hardware. So it can work both ways to be honest. Not the worst outcome. I think we can expect last gen assets but with better textures and sometimes better image quality thanks to DLSS compared to Series S. That's how its been in the crossgen games shown so far. texture quality alone is a big upgrade. It was a good choice they equipped the console with 12 GB RAM.
But still, cross gen already having to restort to last gen assets and last gen featuresets is worrying for the future. But maybe it will get better once devs know how to program for the console properly. Specifically the CPU. Cyberpunk running last gen crowd density doesn't make much sense considering how much more powerful the CPU is.
Did you make any perdictions about former fans of Nintendo saying Nope! after the unvailing of the Switch 2?I made a prediction comment back in 2024 about all the possibles moving goal posts from the Switch 2 haters, this guys are so predictable.

Adding… -The Switch 2 not going to have third party support.Switch 2 haters moving the goalposts list:
-Is going to be a Switch Pro less powerful than the PS4
-Is going to be less powerful than the Steamdeck
-Steamdeck is a 2022 handheld and the Switch is $450 Great achievement.
-Is going to be less powerful than the PS4 Pro lol keep dreaming
-Of course is going to be better than consoles from 2013
-120hz screen for a Nintendo Handheld lolol Hopium
-No way is going to be close to the Series S 0% chance
-Lol… is Running PS5/Series 60fps games at 30fps … Not surprised at all<- We are here.
Yeah, reduction in texture quality or resolution or looks lesser than say pc with an extremely advanced gpuGamers complain if a game is optimized?
Specifically, I'm talking about this video
There they said they are using the next gen assets (next gen means current gen obviously) on the Switch 2 instead of starting from the Switch 1 version.
But if you analyse the final game, you will find out it pretty much uses the last gen assets across the board. In this comparison, you can see how many assets are missing (which is an exact match for the last gen version)
![]()
This is just a tiny example, there are differences like that across the whole game. DF made a good comparison there. There are not only assets removed, but some are swapped out for a low polygon version (like using the angular table instead of a round one, which I find to be a very clever trick for reducing stress on last gen consoles)
You can also see some last gen optimizations (like sealing rooms off from the world) are also in place on Switch 2, despite the system having much more RAM, much faster storage and a lot more CPU grunt than the last gen consoles.
Now obviously Switch 2 is not as powerful as Series S, but given the statements they made I would have expected atleast some current gen assets to be carried over andI would also have expected them to remove the last gen optimizations like the sealed gangways (which are obviously in place because of the slow HDDs in these consoles).
But what irks me the most is the blatant lie from the devs. No, you are not using "next gen assets", this is just deceptive marketing.
Looking at the rest of the DF video it's pretty much the PS4 Pro version with some texture improvements here and there.
Switch 2 can offer a cleaner image than Series S. There's some nice texture filtering and DLSS improvements. Top right window is on par with PS5 and beating PS4/Series S. Better tree bark texture. Impressive stuff.

delumisal steemdeck toilet version switch 2 desrstoyFrankly the Switch 2 handheld performance is a bit disappointing. Both Cyberpunk 2077 and Hogwarts Legacy perform worse or equal compared to the Steam Deck and that is over 3 years old now. I guess it will remain a Nintendo exclusive console for now.
Launch window is a gold mine for 3rd parties, especially for Nintendo's platform. Probably the most lucrative time since people will buy low effort crap just to have something to play on their shiny new hardware. Once Nintendo starts dropping more Switch 2 exclusives the 3rd party sales will dry out as always.I mean, the mere fact that they even ported a low effort port to Switch 2 seems impressive. Given that 99,9 % of other devs isn't even bothering to do that.

Cyberpunk is probably like one of the few AAA games that will be available on Switch 2 (Even if its a PS4 AAA game), so they will probably get most of the AAA sales on Switch 2 the entire generation. Pretty impressive.Launch window is a gold mine for 3rd parties, especially for Nintendo's platform. Switch 2 and base Steam deck cost around the same, the only reason why Switch 2 is a little more expensive is because they need to add joycons, dock and other stuff that raise the price. But the actual hardware price is around the same for both, so the Switch 2 shouldn't be better than Steam deck. Better hardware would mean much higher price for Switch 2 than Steam deck.I have both side by side. Steam Deck XeSS ultra quality and a mixture of low/medium settings, and Switch 2 look comparable. Performance can also drop on both. Steam Deck has more stutters, Switch 2 drops all the way down to 20fps.
Hogwarts Legacy is in favour of the Steam Deck. XeSS Quality, medium settings has a similar resolution to the Switch 2, but you have zero loading and full next-gen assets, vs last-gen assets and loading screens on the Switch 2.

Sure, but the Steam Deck came out over 3 years ago. I was hoping there would be a decent jump over the Steam Deck in performance at least. Don't get me wrong, the price to performance on the Switch 2 is still good, and the amount of performance on tap for the power consumed is impressive. I was just hoping for a bit of a larger leap over the Steam Deck. Especially as the Steam Deck has a OLED screen and the Switch 2 doesn't. It's still launch window, so perhaps in a year or two the gap will increase.Switch 2 and base Steam deck cost around the same, the only reason why Switch 2 is a little more expensive is because they need to add joycons, dock and other stuff that raise the price. I mean it would be a waste of money for Nintendo to make a more up to date Switch 2, there would still be no third party announcements and Nintendo would just sit there with an incredibly expensive Switch 2 on the shelves and 1-2 third party games announced for it during the whole SGF weekend.Sure, but the Steam Deck came out over 3 years ago. English even.. lolI will pay for your english lessons
he has no problem with english, his problem is on another lvlI will pay for your english lessons
Steam Deck "controller" is free in the package?add joycons
I wonder if the devs just didn't want to spend the time/resources on it or if the hardware is not powerful enough for the next gen assets. This was known, DF did a video on it a few weeks before it came out.
It seems obvious they used the PS4 version as a base instead of the Series S version, which imo is a mistake and this is half-assed.
