AniHawk said:I'm sorry you're wrong, but you are. The trailer was something special. Think about the way it was shown off and what people thought it would look like. Pretty much everyone before E3 thought it would be a cel-shaded game like TWW. Then they show off this game without mentioning the name. Just "one more world," as it was called. There wasn't even a hint of what it could be. Then as dramatic music began playing, you see someone on a horse. If someone was a huge, huge fan, they would have recognized the music from the OoT commercial, clearly giving it away. However, I'm sure many didn't know it was Riders of Doom, and when the hero was finally revealed, everyone had every right to cheer as they did. Nintendo finally listened (or as some will argue, caved in) to its fans. The trailer was brilliantly showed off.
During the conference, I completely forgot they were supposed to show a new Zelda, and before the conference, I seriously doubted there being a "mature Zelda" unveiled before their next system was released. Just look all around GAF, people without Gamecubes who have sold them or have them and don't use them anymore are interested in the game because of the change. Even people like DJ Demon J (who I admit, puts on really just an act, but it's hard to separate the lies from the truth) look forward to this game. At work, I've seen people stare wide-eyed at the Zelda boxart we have on display. At last E3, I saw people literally gape at the trailer playing on the big screen while in line for the DS or some game.
It was a very big deal, and it was only a trailer.

- Nintendo will show Revolution and officially announce that the mature Zelda game is coming on the new console
- Nintendo will show Revolution versions of all its franchises (SSB, SM, Pikmin, Mario Tennis, Soccer, Football, Baseball, Volleyball, Kart, etc.) and announce strong third party support for the console.
- Microsoft shows Xenon/Xbox2 with some very impressive XNA tech demos. PDZero and True Fantasy Live Online will be launch titles for the console.
- Rockstar will announce the next gen Grand Theft Auto and they'll show the PSP version of GTA
- Sega will announce Shenmue 3 and a sequel to Panzer Dragoon Saga and Nights (but I'm not 100% sure about this)
- Sony will announce that the PS3 is so powerfull, it could be in the Top 10 of worlds most powerfull supercomputers and show some FFXII FMVs saying they are calculated in real time.
- Take 2 will announce new Amped and Links games for Xbox and PS2
and much more

Nerevar said:Wow, you bash Halo 2 fanboys for getting up in arms over their video game trailers and then go off like this about a Zelda trailer? Can you spell H-y-p-o-c-r-i-t-e?
Shiggy said:I think it will be a Konami co-developed game, not Too Human.
SantaCruZer said:where does it say he bash halo2 fans?
AniHawk said:If you (well, maybe not you, but you get the idea) posted this a year ago, I could have sworn you were talking about Halo 2.KanbeeSan said:No way, it was just a trailer and the kidies were creaming their pants saying "OMG this is the best game evar etc... etc". Imagine what a bit of gameplay will do :lol
Nerevar said:I might be wrong, but that sure as hell seems like an implied insult to the people who were creaming themselves over the first Halo 2 trailer. Not saying I don't agree with him about this, it's just funny that he would feel that way about the way people reacted to the Halo 2 trailer and then laud the Zelda trailer as a "special experience" or whatever.
Hero said:However, in the end, there will still be Zelda.
.
SantaCruZer said:Maybe you missed it, but the original post was that little kiddies got excited over Zelda, so his reply was not really uncalled for.
Guns N' Poops said:Where to hell do you have this from? Just because Denis Dyack hoped for more work with Konami in the future? Because I sure as hell don't see any indication of such collaboration.
Nerevar said:Ah, I perceived his response to be directed at the fact that people were getting too excited over the trailer (and thus indirectly insulting people who got excited over the Halo 2 trailer), not that the poster in specific mentioned that it was kids.
Shiggy said:They(Nintendo+Konami+Dyack) said that they're working on an original game. Didn't he?
Guns N' Poops said:Lol, no. It was just his freaking wish for the near future, which was even months before the 2nd party break with Nintendo. Pretty much BS.
Shiggy said:But tha't pure speculation of mine :lol
SantaCruZer said:oh well, does it really annoy you that much? It goes both ways. Anihawk is one of the most respect posters here.

AniHawk said:I never said Halo 2 wasn't a special experience. The anticipation from the first trailer. Pics being leaked out slowly, slowly, slowly... Then small details from just the multiplayer being sent out, to Ilovebees. Lots of anticipation and really one of the coolest moments in game history as far as bringing fans together in a positive way.
