SoCal Regionals 2011 | Fighting game tournament | December 17-18

What about MK? Scene is dead?

There's too much new stuff and legacy games to choose from. You would have to be insane to think AE/MvC3 are going anywhere; KoF seems like it has enough strength to make it (especially if the netcode patch is true/happens soon); SC is a legacy so it has a good chance, and SFxT will be the new hotness.

If you had to twist my arm, then I would say that SFxT or KoF have the highest chance of being replaced with MK9, if at all. SFxT due to the potential backlash, and KoF due to people possibly falling out of love with it.

I can't see Skullgirls making it onto the stage outside of an exhibition or conclusion of a side-event.

I can't possibly see MK9 making it back on. The sponsor money for tournaments looks to have dried up, and the game's very un-hype, between BREAKERS and the worst button checks ever.

God damn at BALA's Iori anchor play... so clutch all the time. He doesn't drop those drive/super combos either.

Time for AE and then... the REAL hype.

Good shit by the KOF crowd. Those matches were hype and I'm amazed that a grappler could get so many people so riled up!
SC5
KOF
SFxTK
UMVC3
AE2012

is my guess at the EVO lineup this year.
Two Capcom games, one Namco game, a NamcoxCapcom crossover and one random game.

Talk about variety.
I would be okay with this except Skullgirls. Don't like the look over that and I don't think it should go after BB.
Man, I'd be happy as fuck if BlazBlue even makes it as a main event game next year. That game actually made me want to play fighters in a more serious manner than I ever have. The next step is actually heading out to tournaments.

all the godlikeness from the match ruined by the bad english, guys english is not so hard please learn it well, sincerely a latin american dude. SALUDOS A MEXICO WEY

Joke post?

His english did not seem that bad to me.

Fighting Game Chart on point. This means Jago or Noel are taking UMVC3.
I am rooting for Jago mostly because I have been a believer in his team since the early days of vanilla. He built his team the way that Marvel is supposed to be played.. with impeccable synergy and a team that handles various match ups extremely well no matter the match up. People underestimate Trish on that team... she is the real heart of the team and without her the team crumbles. He also invented the teleporter dark vortex dimension technology.

EC winning this event would produce massive salt.

It was all fantastic for me. I can tell they have a better grasp of their game than most Mahvel commentators do for Mahvel.

"Someone get this man a translator!" - Stream Monster

Seriously, though. I lost my shit once Bala started giving shout outs.
All I heard was "Mexico" and got hype with laughter. lol

it always seem redundant to me that giving sticks as prizes, they have sticks already, give them cash so they can smoke dope and buy hookers.
