I had a post a month or so back in which everyone generally decided hooking up with coworkers is bad.. well, my friend Jack Daniels told me otherwise earlier tonight and I might have a problem. It was a going away part for a coworker and EVERYONE I work with was telling me to go for it (since its obvious I want to bone her).. it was to the point that coworkers were mixing especially hard drinks for her to try and make it happen.

anyway, I need someone to tell me how monday morning isnt going to be ackward as hell.. I mean, its bad enough that it happened.. its worse that EVERYONE I work with knows it happened.

It's funny, because i'm thinking of doing the exact same thing. It's mostly a case of opportunity presenting itself. There's a girl i work with that's been flirting with me a lot lately, and some of my other coworkers think i should hit it. i'll see how things go tommorrow, seeing as how i'll have some alone time with her after we close.

Edit: The general consensus seems to be that as long as you work at a company large enough to have divisions where you aren't in constant contact, things tend to be better. For those of us who work in retail stores, it can be hell if things turn out badly. i've dated coworkers in retail a couple of times, and aside from other coworkers just being nosier than i'd like, there weren't any downsides, although all of my breakups have been rather mild.

It would help if you included where you work at. If it is a professional place ... don't do it. If it is a grocery store, restaurant, fast food joint, factory ...CALL HER NOW.

Same thing happened to me on New Years eve. The next time I saw her at work it was awkward as hell man... but by the next day thing's were back to normal and we're now dating. In my view dating a coworker is bad news, I mean everyone at your job will here the gossip about you guys and know everything that goes on in your realationship. I hate that shit, but if the girls worth it, like mine, it's just something you have to learn to put up with.
