I'd say there is a bias towards warriors and trolls. An entire forum was spun off and created by Sony warriors and trolls who were banned from GAF.

I've been on this forum for a few years now and I've never seen any bias towards Sony from the boss or the mod team.

They'll take appropriate action If you start pathetic console wars, which is acceptable, but the mod team aren't shutting down Sony criticism or banning any Microsoft praise.

That is true. Some of those people had persecution complexes here because the mods kept hitting them with bans and warnings. They left Gaf and created their own forum.

I dont think gaf is biased to any one side nor do I believe that this place is funded by one of the console manufacturers. Merely those that console war get hit and then claim they are being targeted.

I don't agree with his generalisation. There are plenty of Xbox fans here who just want to talk about Xbox games and don't get hung up in forum politics. Every group has a fringe element and they are usually the loudest and most obnoxious.

Is easy to feel persecuted as a Xbox fan... but is not the moderators fault... we have too many xbox astroturfers, alt accounts, ambassadors, twitter like PR accounts been banned.. the xbox online PR machine is very active on forums and therefore the moderators probably have to be a little more sensitive that they would normally be trying to separate the normal posters from the "propaganda" ones.

I fell into investing into the xbox eco system due to backwards and forwards compatibility and enjoying their games and feeling the need to defend them. No shill stuff, thats weird. There's posters on here that have a very clever way of shitting up every xbox thread, posting endless negativity towards you and xbox for even enjoying a game on the platform and as a nintendo, Sony, xbox, PC fan it inspires you to respond and you catch the heat. Best to ignore and give them props for mastering their game I guess....

This video has been used as fake comparison, since people ignore all the other hundreds of videos from GT7 which look completely different. First it doesn’t look like that in-game at all. That xbox fanboy messed up the colours. Second, this is not a full wet comparison. The GT7 part isn’t full wet at that time of the session. What graphics mode did he used to compare it with Forza? Also people say he also used the PS4 version instead of the PS5 version.

It’s funny out of all the comparisons already out there in the wild, how GT7 looks compared to Forza, this one is getting used? It sure looks messed up on purpose. It just say imo how amazing GT7 still is in general als an crossgen game compared to a game that was hyped for the “most advanced race game ever”. Forza isn’t bad, it doesn’t really beat GT7, and it’s less consistent overall. GT7 has parts which PD could do better or improve.

Absolutely. I'm here mostly to discuss games. Not really interested in long, confrontational disputes over differences in opinions so I guess it makes me kind of anonymous here and tbf, I like the way it is. Even though I have done the opposite occasionally, I gladly spend my energy talking about games I like and celebrate them. I will never laugh at or be smug about a game that I haven't played. So, unsurprisingly I barely ever get attacked here for my usually pro-xbox opinions (because it is my only gaming console atm) and a few laughing emojis are in all good fun.

What gets a bit tiresome is constant gatekeeping in xbox threads and while concerns me indirectly, it's hard to ignore it. Like Xbox? A paid shill! Like Starfield? A cuck. I guess it's described as persecution complex but I wish people would just accept that some of us chose xbox because it suits our interests better.

This is the last post I'll add on the topic here, as I prefer the thread turning into jokes at my expense and also stories of smoked meat as I'm tempted to get a nice slab of beef brisket this weekend and slap it on the webber!

The majority of my 12 warnings are for a "persecution complex" and "gaslighting" responding to posts similar to the above. I will state that xbox seems to be treated differently on here and that posts like the above are allowed, hence persecution complex. I will have used the words "you're insane if you think starfield is as shit as redfall" hence gaslighting.

So that's my last comment on it. I've also been open for my dislike of games like ragnarok and horizon forbidden west and final fantasy xvi but adored god of war 2018, last of us, Spiderman and gt7. Returnal is one of my favourite games on any platform in this generation. But, I get it...I'm the xbox fanboy so I must just be doing it on purpose and that isn't a true reflection of my personal opinion or something. Which is wild to consider, but I get it. Best to just not comment.

The one last funny thing is, I play the green rat roll well. It's fun banter between us all on here, but if I'm anything I'm a Nintendo fan boy. Something I've always found funny.

Anyway, this may get locked soon but I hope I supplied everyone some entertainment for a Friday night. Back to smoking ones meat!

The explanation from the ex mod has helped massively. Thanks very much for that. I'll make sure I'm wording things correctly so they could not be taken incorrectly and antagonise the hornets nest.

I will just say, I'm still baffled how certain posters can get away with their incessant negativity and verbiage anything xbox when their allegience is on their sleeve. Also, condescending attitudes towards other posters but I guess that's the nature of the beast. I've never wanted to be a snitch but I guess all I can do is report and move on. I'm sure any reports from myself will be taken seriously by the mod team who I'm on a short leash with...this may get me another warning or ban for a persecution complex...

Ultimately, back to the meat. You're all amazing! I'm open to all comedy insults, go as hard as possible I have thick skin, some of them are making me laugh out loud. Green rat in the sniper scope was a classic!

There is clearly something going on with a moderator on here that has a personal vendetta against me. I posted a comment in the forza vs gt7 thread that stated that forza looked a lot better than gt7 in the video asamsapple posted and within 50 seconds my post was deleted and i was thread banned. I've attempted to contact moderation multiple times to request a conversation and no one responds.

My post was deleted with the comment "you're trying too hard, fanboy". I mean really, what is that? We see horrific comments towards other members, and craziness all day but a comment about forza looking better on one video gets me banned from a thread within seconds.

I know the joke is why post a thread, just message moderation. I have done it multiple times. I have never been banned on this site but seem to be getting an increasing amount of thread bans and warnings.

Anyone got any ideas of how I can work through this with the moderation team, or who else I can contact?

Are you sure that you aren't omitting a line or two from the post synopses you've provided here?

If no, accusing users of being a fanboy over a subjective opinion is in poor form for sure.
