Sonic Generations |OT| What Sonic can learn from Sonic

The hub world in adventure was awesome and how the worlds were connected to it as well

i agree .. it wasn't huge , everything was connected correctly and there were enough things to find in it ... Using your habilities to reach casinopolis for example ...was also a right call.
Loadings were fine too

Dimps, the way you design the mission levels are so brilliant and thoughtful. :3 :3 :# :#:##::3

Theres some good missions in that game, but a number of them are stinkers.

One of the Radical Highway segments gives you five minutes to not get hit in one tiny area that takes 15 seconds at most to traverse.
A few of the "get time monitors to decrease your time!" missions have horrid monitor layouts that force you to learn which path the designers wanted you to take. Casino Night is super bad about this.

I remember Diablo said he figured there had to be a way to skip Going Down, the 360 trial times were too short otherwise.

I don't think he realized it could be that severe a skip, though.

Just got the game today from play asia. Ok, I'm about to get killed for my opinion but Sonic feels to heavy.

That's not actually a crazy opinion. Controlling Modern Sonic at lower speeds definitely feels heavy.

There's upgrades you can purchase from the shop that boost up Sonic's acceleration, but in a number of cases he almost feels a little too fast that point.

I just barely made it through chemical plant because of that. Why hasn't sega fixed it?

I think Station Square struck the right balance of size and exploration without it being too big to be unwieldy (like Sonic 2006, where you just had these massive empty spaces that just added travel time - especially Soleanna Forest).

I also am like, one of 4 people on planet earth that was okay with walking around Unleashed's "village" areas.

I liked them too, the random's in the game had a nice look about them. Also you could keep up with their odd personal lives, it was an enjoyable quirky little extra.

The game is built around very precise values for top speed and acceleration, and changing them causes problems with the existing level design. The minor upgrades you can buy already let you break the game a bit.

Why has this thread not exploded in amazing gifs!?

Also, I like how Eggman's idle pose is totally normal and functional, but the slightest animation trigger will send it shriveling :lol

(where'd that idle animation/pose come from anyway?)

I assume the statue room, or character bios.

This is my favourite part of it. I died laughing at that.

Post it in the community thread. lol.

I'm gonna have to put this game on hold till I build a better PC. The framerate is bugging the hell out of me now on the later stages. Makes classic Sonic's jump hard to track with how poor the performance is getting.

Just finished it, and what can I say ? It's the Sonic game I had the most fun with (the others being Sonic Adventure 2 and Sonic Colours and Sonic Rush. Yeah I don't like classic Sonic that much), and definitely a good game. Not the best game ever, but compared to Unleashed (which was half a game) and 2006 (let's not just talk about it), it's a major improvement (yes the trend started with Coulours, I know).

I'm not the biggest Sonic fan, but I appreciated the overall tribute to the series, and several moments made me smile. I wish more games celebrated their anniversary that way (Riiight Mario ?).

Also, as usual, the music rocks, but I was a little disappointed to see "His World" was absent. Even though the game sucked, this music was awesome...

Did you get all the music notes from doing the missions? I'm pretty sure I played through Crisis City and selected His World as the music for it at some point.
