Agreed. Too much time was spent in Ireland. Another thing, I wonder if that female porn company director's death will ever be resolved? It seems like Tom Arnold's character had something to do with it.

Unless I completely missed/forgot it reaching a resolution?
I don't think it was ever completely resolved, but I might have forgotten what happened. It was implied that Georgie (Tom Arnold) was the one that killed her, but according to the SoA wiki: "Soon after Luann's death, Half-Sack said Georgie and his crew skipped town and fled the country to go to Thailand to 'recruit' new talent."

Hmmm... That sure doesn't put him in an innocent light. ;) Can't wait till this season starts.

LOL @ this being compared to The Shield and Sopranos. They better come back hard because season 3's writing was weak.
Thank you. SoA is nothing compared to THe Shield. Sean Ryan crushes Sutter under his heel.

I just picked up S3 on blu-ray yesterday and watched all the extras, hopefully i will get around to watching all the video in video commentary stuff like on S2, haven't got around to the S1 stuff yet but i have seen the actual season 3 times.

By far my favorite show since The Shield, the 6th is going to be one hell of a day.. 90 minute SOA premiere, new warhammer game and dead island.

John Teller: Old King
Clay: Claudius
Jax: Hamlet

Seems pretty clear what the ending of S4 will be, based on those comments.
He has stated from the beginning it has similar themes to hamlet but its not hamlet, it's not going to play out like hamlet.

I finally gave this show a chance when it hit Netflix streaming. It's great. I agree that S3 wasn't on the same level as 1 and 2 but it definitely had its moments. Especially the finale.

One nagging problem I've had since season 2 though is
Opie forgiving the club for his wife's death and continuing to ride with them. I know the club is all he has, but it just feels off that a man could have a beer with the guy that shot his wife.
Does this bug anyone else? Or maybe you can give me some insight I'm not seeing.

Can't wait for Tuesday.

Last episode of season 3 is awesome. Everything always works out in the end for these guys...lol

Seriously, they must have golden horseshoes up their asses.

Never finished season 3. It got way too terrible, couldn't force myself to watch another episode. Might just run through the last four episodes of season 3 that I missed.

Sure, but The Shield is closer to the SOA end of the spectrum than the Sopranos/Wire/Breaking Bad one.

The Shield is great, but holy shit does GAF overrate it.

S3 killed my interest in the show completely. I don't think I'll be watching this unless word of mouth is great.

I agree I really disliked S3 and I hope Tom Arnold never shows up again, I hate that motherfucker

You're right. But no one in The Shield drove a motor boat from California to Ireland. As Skinny Boy once said, "He's getting away... very slowly."

Season 3 is the weakest of the seasons (so far!)........ although it improved once they left Ireland (I am from Belfast and it was so badly done, accents where horrible etc).

Last episode of Season 3 was excellent.

Can't wait for Season 4 to start.

S3 had some good episodes even though the entire irish arc was painful to watch. The last couple of episodes were great though.

Season 4 will be great. The season 3 stuff in Charming was great. Just everything in Ireland was bad. Now that the entire seasons are back in Charming it will return to greatness.

The Salazar and Stahl stuff (outside of the final 30 minutes of the season) was pretty terrible, too.

It seems like it has been so long since I've watched, but I don't remember hating those segments. I am glad they got rid of Stahl though in the finale.

will totally Facebook friend you! *giggle* *LOL*
Yea, the worst part is they didn't even get the Charming shit right that season. All of that shit will the dude coming to kill Tara and whatnot was so fucking played out. They killed Hale just cause and it's effect was barely felt. They fucked up bad.

It made sense for Hale to get killed. His role on the show was to be a foil, but he ended up supporting SAMCRO. If he had stuck around as Unser 2.0 it would have been no good.

Two more reviews. The premiere is tomorrow.

It's a vast improvement over nearly everything the series had to offer a year ago. (And, it should go without saying, more compelling than most of the new and returning dramas that the broadcast networks are about to start premiering.) But at the same time the new episodes are serving as an antidote to last season's failed experiment, they're also functioning as a defense of it. I'm glad to have the Sons back in Charming, doing what they do best, but if Sutter gets those additional three seasons he wants, I hope he can find a way to have them do something that's different but also good.
- Ken Tucker @ EW.com
Talk about a comeback: Just as the SAMCRO boys get out of prison, mount their hogs, and rumble home in the season 4 premiere of Sons of Anarchy, so does the series itself return, triumphantly, to its roots. B+

do i need to start from season 1 on this? I want to watch it buy i'm so far behind
Yeah, you should. S1 is pretty good once it gets rolling and S2 is fantastic. Well worth watching from the start.

Can't wait! Yeah the S3 Ireland stuff was kinda dumb, but it ended fantastically.

Also, I'm not a gay man, but I'd switch teams for Opie (Ryan Hurst). Dunno why, except to say that beard.

- Maureen Ryan: Back in Charming, 'Sons of Anarchy' Rolls Into Dark Territory
The good news is, after the motorcycle club's trip to Belfast last season -- a diversion that, for many fans, didn't quite have the payoff they'd hoped for -- the show has returned to familiar stomping grounds and the kind of complicated relationship dynamics that had turned many viewers into die-hard fans in earlier seasons. But not everything is smooth sailing. The broad strokes of the show's mythology and the club's new antagonists are bristling with potential, but some of the weekly adventures seem unnecessarily convoluted and/or convenient.

Starting season 3 again. Episode 4. Don't really remember what happened in the first 3 episodes, but hopefully it'll make sense.

4 hours and 30 minutes to finish 9 episodes. Oops.

Still on S3. Who the fuck thought the Abel-kidnapping storyline was a good idea? And Caprica woman is the worst. This is so slow compared to the first two seasons.

I also have a really hard time understanding the Irish accents without subtitles.

This is pretty much the season in a quick summary.

Pretty good first episode back so far. Glad this show is back, so far the new additions to casting are great. Attorney is weird as hell.

Good start. Not as great as last season's premiere, but I'll take consistency over extremely rare bursts of brilliance.

Watch Deadwood.

Good stuff from the new sheriff and the Federal prosecutor. Ronnie from The Shield was on a desk in the prosecutor's office, too.

Someone refresh my memory. Why did the Sons have it out for the russians again?

So one more Deadwood alum returns, and I even liked Clay make a Wild Bill joke to the actor who played Charlie Utter.

Also a Terriers vet finds a home! RIP Terriers
