Fuckin' Clay.

God damn.

And then you've got Gemma being a cunt and Jax being a total cheating ass.

It's getting to the point where I just want everyone to die in a shoot-out aside from Happy and Chibs.

Watching the promo...I am reminded how intimidating/badass Jax can be.

I mean, sometimes I root for him so damn hard, like audibly saying stuff like "Hell yeah," "Fuckin' right," and so on. But sometimes he just does the most bone-headed dumb stuff possible that just makes me shake my head in shame.

Like this was my girlfriend's first SoA episode. She walked out when he started talking to Lady Prostitute about cheating on his wife and I could do nothing but say "Yeah he does that." Completely turned her off of the show.

Oh well. I'll still enjoy the ride.

Awful premiere. I really didn't like the dramatic event at the end of the episode.
school shooting really? I don't think Sutter and company are talented enough to pull that off. It was tasteless and offensive.

Shouldn't you wait to see how they pull it off before you call it tasteless and offensive?

I'll tag this in case someone stumbles in without having seen the episode.

Soon as that kid walked in and had that facial expression my mind immediate went to "this kid is going to shoot up the school or kill a kid" because of the black eye and his distant and angry look which bravo to that kid. Did a very great job. But, soon as he pulled out that gun my mind went straight to oh god Kurt Sutter is about to do this and it's probably going to be extremely distasteful and grotesque because it's SOA and Sutter but i have to say. It was very well executed and tastefully done. I never thought i would call a school shooting tasteful because it shouldn't be but i am glad he didn't go inside. Still, like the spoiler below and i will also say it here.

Fucking fantastic episode. And aside from the previous spoiler there was another scene that gave away something which was obviously intentional and i kind of wish they didn't make it that intentional because it would of made for a better surprise.

So Donal's character Lee. You see a slight tick when he first sees Otto, like something isn't quite there and then you see him with Clay where it gets worse like the guy is possibly off his meds and the tipping point was Tara. And again, great acting. The great mannerisms and expressions are what gave away his withdrawl and kind of killing the surprise, much like the kid at the school. I wish they would of masked the addiction more because i feel it would of made for a better surprise but maybe i look too much for things.

Actually, it was incredibly tasteful all things considered. Extremely tame and was far more respectful than most shows that handle this kind of stuff.

So glad this show is back. Fantastic start to the season. Chibbs giving some tough love to Juice. That scene was really well done. And man I forgot how hot Joanie(from Deadwood) is and calamity Jane cleans up pretty well too

I would love to see the reactions of someone who hasn't seen the show before while watching the premiere.

I think Tig pissing on the dead director would be the last "straw" for most people.

Haha probably so but I expect nothing less from Sutter. He loves to go for that shock value. So a question...when they show the mom smoking the cigarette, do we think she already knows about what her son did or did she not know yet? I would've thought shed be a lot more hysterical

Episode was fine. I didn't love it or hate, but I enjoyed it. That's one thing I can say about this show. For as long as it's been on, I've consistently enjoyed all the seasons. Some seasons had better arcs/highs than others, but all in all I've always enjoyed it. And given how long it's been on, I've never really felt it's gotten too ridiculous (although maybe the Clay and the DEA stuff was being used too many times over and over).

I wasn't a big fan of the school shooting, because of how they did it. I thought it was weird that the kid just happend to be directly connected to the gang. All the scenes of him walking around the town, and crossing paths with the various characters. But that's just something Sutter likes to do, his nod to Shakespeare with the homeless women showing up in previous seasons etc. Whatever.

Anyways, rest was fine. Jax is such a scumbag lol Not that, that was surprising. But lol. Tara should just take the deal and run. Jax has made it pretty clear that he doesn't plan on getting out of the life, and I doubt he would ever let her leave with his boys. So she's pretty much trapped in a shitty relationship that can only go downhill from here.

Clay flipping was predictable. I don't really understand why the Marshal needs Tara to confess though. If Clay rats on the club for old crimes, they would NEED to convict Tara, so that would hit them with a new crime, That would be their Rico case. I always just assumed that it would play out that way, and dumb Tara would either kill herself to ruin the Rico case, or Jax would have her killed. That Clay was going to pursue it to prevent his death. So the Marshall trying to get Tara to flip didn't make sense to me (although I guess a Rico case can happen if someone also flips on the new crime. So maybe it would make his job easier). I just know that it required old crimes + a new crime, and I'm pretty sure convicting Tara would be enough. Although maybe her conviction is a closed and shut case.

You guys are right about Bobby, he's definitely planning on making a move. I really can't stand Bobby though, because Jax took it to the table to kill Clay, and Bobby voted no (even though the entire club voted Yes). If anyone else had done the shit Clay did (all the betrayal, the murders) - they would have met Mr. Death long ago. Bobby saying that Jax would be the same as him if they did it, was total bullshit. Clay wouldn't even had taken a vote on it, he would have just had the person whacked behind the clubs back. So I never understood that, or bought that. I thought that made Bobby a bitch, and I cant stand him now. It's another case of Sutter making a contrivance just for the sake of keeping Clay alive.

And internet is raging over the episode. It's fucking silly.

What else is new.

Whatever you do, don't visit IMDB today.

I had no issue with the school shooting itself. I didn't find it offensive. Just thought the execution was kind of gimmicky. I mean from a technical perspective.

Great episode! Some scenes for this season were being shot at the San Fernando mall, back in my home town in the San Fernando valley. Can't wait to pick these out heh.

Okay, saw it right now. My thoughts:

- Would hate to be Otto. Jebus...at least you gotta give Sutter credit for willing to humiliate his own character.
- Jax bonin' that (admittedly nicely shaped) blonde chick? Really, Jax? Really?? You're goddamned wife has been in prison for only like 2 weeks!
- Saw the school shooting coming a mile away. Kid was way too creepy not to do it. I'm not really offended, I just hope it has some relevance to the story.
- Not really a huge fan of Tara, but seems she's had her Tobias Beecher-defecating-on-Schillinger moment earlier than I thought she would. Good on her.
- Is anyone really surprised at what Clay did? I mean, aside from the fact that he's not the most moral person in the club, let us not forget that pretty much everyone betrayed him. He has no reason to fall on his sword for Samcro.

Decent opener. Could have been better without the Jax philandering shit, but aside from that, I likey.
