Yeah only saw that X900H was showing more details yet less contrasty? Maybe due to the xtended contrast or the video is just not that good quality anyway to judge. Gonna get it later on Black Friday.

All manufacturers except LG and Samsung being restricted to just 2x HDMI 2.1 ports, of which one must be used for eARC leaving only 1 to share between 2 consoles and a PC, is still a major issue in 2021. Only LG and Samsung seems relatively future proof with their own SOC and consequently 4x HDMI 2.1 ports.

Apparently the USA model has only 1 HDMI 2.1 port. But the EU model will have 2-4 HDMI 2.1 ports via external one connect box, it will cost more though.

I would most definitely wait. I've never seen an image that blurry that wasn't 720p on the 90H. Nor is my picture ever that washed out.Weird, huh? We'll wait for the proper reviews in 4K.

I'll be watching X90J reviews for entertainment, already have my mind set. I might buy a cheap X90H as well when X90J hits the market to use it in my new photo/video studio as 55" is actually near identical to A0 prints (44" printers), which is 57.3" (~6" taller but -1" narrower). I also use TV's for video/photo editing (turn off everything, might as well turn off local dimming). I know some professional monitors might be slightly more accurate, but accuracy is pretty good so far on Sony TV's out of the box.

I think it might be priced at around $600, only a guess.
That would be amazing if thats the case, would be half the price of Asus' flagship 43" monitors.

There were a bunch of prices that showed up on B&H a few weeks ago. The A90J price turned out to be accurate. The 43" X85J was priced at $799.

X85J might be a reskinned X900H, which is a great TV, but with no local dimming and edge lit. But for PC usage at 120fps you might need to wait for reviews if it solved the 4K@120fps blurr on PC.

I picked up a Sony A8h oled at a good discount. 65 incher. 2.1 features aren't really a concern for me. Just an fyi if some of y'all just want a great tv without breaking the bank.

Yeah, must be some legal matter forcing them to not use a one connect box in the US. I upgraded my Samsung 65" F9000 for 3 consecutive years using just updated one connect boxes, so I eventually ended up with 4 HDMI 2.0 ports for the last 2 years. It's a nice system.

Yeah, someone on AVSforum mentioned 4 ports, but I couldn’t find that in this or any summaries of the announcement.
Also, it only mentions 4K60, not 120.

I always had a buyer remorse with this tv don't like the blacks/colours of this one and its really reflective. So hopefully there 2021 led line up will not disappoint

I'm so torn on which route to go down. I'd prefer Google TV over Tizen or WebOS. Also not sure if I really need OLED, but I guess there will be choices around that.

It's safer to wait and make no moves until you see experts test all that and get solid feedbacks because it's a big investment, long-term as well.

I think you're right though, I need to train my brain to just not think about it until the end of the year, or maybe the summer when loads of TV deals happen for the Euros and Olympics. By then we should have some real-life information and performance feedback.

I really should have waited a year more. Not that I really want to play @120fps, but 120Hz also should show frames sooner than at 60Hz and blurr less. Well ... should.

Yeah I won't touch the tv until it gets a serious discount, like around $800-700 range for the 55". Because I need that budget for other stuff urgently, haha!

Yeah, I'll be waiting until it goes under 1000€ as well, just like I did with 40W5500 back in the day. Hopefully it goes down to that before the end of the year. In that sense, I'm actually happy that games like Horizon Forbidden West and God of War: Ragnarok are unlikely to come out this year, so I don't have to play them on my old 1080p TV.

Just saw this video from HDTVTest. Looks like the Samsung 4 HDMI 2.1 ports via the One Connect box are not included on the QN90A and is instead on a model called QN95A (which the US isn't getting). I haven't bought a Samsung in years, but this is such bullshit from them:
Oh that tricky marketing. YouTuber's didn't help when they were pushing it like the whole brand adopts 4 while Sony only 2.
